Too Late
The murky water did nothing to hide the fact that it was already too late. The meal he had been preparing for so many years had vanished, just as he was about to partake in it. Ciel's red eyes glowed eerily in the water, the color much brighter than the dark red blood tinting the water. Inwardly Sebastian cursed. Damn his indulgence-he should have consumed the damn boy's soul, when he had the chance.
The two made their way to the surface. When they reached the white sand of the shore, the damage Sebastian had inflicted upon Ciel's body was even more obvious. What was more obvious than that, though, was the fact that the boy was not dead. Those blinding red eyes were laughing, even if the boy was currently coughing blood onto the white sand. Sebastian just stood beside him, watching the boy as he struggled to breathe. He didn't hide his contempt for the boy. He sneered as Ciel coughed blood onto his perfectly black shoes.
Slowly, Ciel's coughing fit subsided. He sat up, hissing in pain; Sebastian made no move to help him, nor to ease his pain. Sebastian instead directed his attention to the ocean, watching as the waves rolled in and out. He knew it wouldn't be long before Ciel broke the silence, either with more coughing, or by asking Sebastian a very important question.
"It feels no different."
Sebastian cast a side-long glance at Ciel, who was poking at the gaping wound on his stomach. Sure enough, the young man was already beginning to heal. "What do you mean, Bocchan?" Sebastian said curtly. There was no point in being polite.
"Being a demon," Ciel stated simply. He looked up at Sebastian. "Help me up." It was a simple order.
One Sebastian had to follow.
No longer willing to hide his contempt for the boy, Sebastian pulled the boy to his feet roughly. As Ciel attempted to regain his balance, Sebastian felt as if a chill had gone down his spine.
Ciel was now his master.
For eternity.
The boy turned to glare at Sebastian. Without warning, Ciel slapped him. "How dare you treat your master that way!" he snapped.
Ciel must have realized the situation, as well. His anger quickly dissipated. He smirked at Sebastian, standing up straight. The boy barely came up to his chest. This boy was now a demon-and was Sebastian's master, for eternity. The boy knew the kind of power he held over Sebastian. Sebastian stood there, waiting for the inevitable order.
"Take me home, Sebastian," Ciel said quietly. "We need to arrange the funeral, as well as take care of a few things, before I join you in Hell."
Sighing, Sebastian found it quite difficult to hide his frustration for the situation at hand. "Yes, my Lord," he muttered, sweeping Ciel into his arms.
Eternity couldn't possibly be any longer.
