Disclaimer: I don't own Teen Wolf. If I did Isaac would still be in it.
Isaac woke up with a jolt, breathing heavily. It wasn't real, he thought to himself as he tried to stop shaking. It wasn't real, it was just a nightmare. His father was dead and he was at the McCall's house, more specifically on Scott's bedroom floor, not in that goddamn freezer! The freezer was gone, he was never going in it again.
"Isaac, what's wrong?" he heard Scott ask from the bed. He inwardly cursed as he tried to calm his breathing; he hadn't wanted to wake the other werewolf.
"N-nothing. I'm fine. Sorry for waking you."
"Isaac, it's fine. Don't worry about it. Did you have a nightmare?"
The beta tensed and didn't reply, which Scott obviously took for a yes as he sighed and moved around on his bed.
"Come here." he said, pulling the covers up on the empty side.
"What?" the other teen asked in confusion.
"Isaac, you're shaking. Get in the damn bed!"
The blond slowly stood up and awkwardly got in the bed beside Scott. They lay in silence for a few minutes.
"You're still shaking." the McCall commented.
Isaac closed his eyes briefly and willed himself to relax. It didn't work so he opened them again.
"I'll be fine." he said shortly.
Another minute passed with only the sound of their breathing before Isaac felt something brush his fingers. It turned out to be Scott's hand as he took Isaac's in his own, rubbing soothing circles on the beta's wrist.
Isaac felt himself start to calm down and his breathing went almost back to normal. However if the other werewolf didn't let go of his hand soon it was most likely to speed up again.
He abruptly pulled away.
"Sorry." Scott mumbled.
"It's fine." Isaac replied. "It helped actually." Pause. "Thanks."
"Any time, dude." Scott sounded happier now.
Isaac tried not to look too far into that.
They lay there in the dark for a few minutes without speaking.
Scott broke the silence.
"Isaac?"
"Yeah, Scott?"
"You know you'll always be welcome here, right? No matter what."
The blond felt a lump in his throat.
"Thanks, Scott." he managed to say.
The brunette made a small noise as if to say 'no big deal'. But it was. It was a huge deal. His house hadn't been a home for a long time and he hadn't been at Derek's that long before…well, before this happened. That Scott would let him stay here, no matter what, was a really big deal for Isaac. The other werewolf knew it too, that's why he'd tried to downplay it.
Isaac closed his eyes and exhaled before opening them and rolling over so that he was inches from Scott's head.
He panicked a bit when the brunette pulled away but then he turned as well so they were face to face, centimetres apart. The beta could feel Scott's breath on his skin and glanced at his lips. He looked back to his eyes and found them trained on his mouth.
Seeming to realise he was being watched, Scott fixed his gaze on Isaac's eyes instead. Isaac stared right back at him.
He couldn't remember what had happened in between, or who had moved first, but the next thing he knew Scott's lips were pressed lightly against his own, barely there at all.
The brunette teen pulled back and watched Isaac as he flicked his tongue over his lips. The blond wasn't satisfied with the whisper of a kiss and leant forwards, capturing Scott's mouth once more, moving his lips slowly, carefully.
Scott moved a hand upwards and stroked it through Isaac's curly hair. The beta gasped and the other werewolf took the opportunity to slip his tongue past his lips, gently swiping it across Isaac's own.
They carried on for what could have been hours or only minutes and when Scott finally pulled away he leant close to Isaac's ear and whispered, quiet enough that no one else in the world, not even another werewolf, would be able to hear it: "You'll always be welcome here."
Isaac kissed him again.
Hope it was okay. :)
