Do you listen to yourself?
Ryan had never felt so lonely and helpless in his entire life. Never had he dreamed that the one girl he loved with his whole soul would die in his arms. Even though he and Merissa weren't together, and hadn't exactly been friends lately either, he felt a whole piece of his heart stop beating with her's.
Jealously had been tearing them apart since the day Ryan and Merissa met and jealousy is what killed her.
Ryan had never cried, swollen eyes and deep breathing, since he was a young boy. But he had no control over his emotions after Merissa's service.
"You will always have her memory." Summer said trying to comfort Ryan. Summer was also in teary hysterics like Ryan.
Seth was pacing back and forth in the room in which the three of them were. "There must be some way we can go back in time and change this." He said thinking out loud.
"Why is it so hard to get things through your head." Summer asked Seth. "Merissa is gone. What happened, happened. There is no way you can change this."
"I need to be alone." Ryan said getting up, "I'll see you two later." Ryan grabbed his jacket and left the room.
Never live for someone else
Ryan walked alone down the streets of Newport Beach. He stopped at a house that he had once been inside of, he barely recognized the place. He noticed that there were no longer construction crews or any new homeowners, so he let himself in.
Immediately he went and sat with his feet dangling in the pool.
As his feet cooled in the pool, Ryan remembered something Merissa had said to him.
"I know what it's like to have someone who believes in you when no one else does."
"I was the one who believed in her." Ryan said to himself, "She wouldn't want me living like this."
Ryan got up out of the pool and ran down the street back to Sandy and Kirsten's place.
When he got to the house he ran up to Seth's room and barged in on him and summer.
"I have a plan." Ryan said sounding excited.
