CIA Memo:

To all those working in the Central Intelligence Agency, this is a general announcement. I am deeply saddened to have to be the one to inform all of you that the incredible agent Sydney A. Bristow has been killed in the line of duty. She was an incredible and loving person who served her country with distinction. She was a wonderful mother to two amazing children named Jack and Isabella and a perfect wife for fellow agent Michael Vaughn. Agent Bristow was one of the people personally responsible for the takedown of international organizations such as the Alliance and the Covenant. She saved the world more times than anyone can count and sported many aliases over her long and successful career. Sydney was respected by everyone that knew her, including her arch nemeses Arvin Sloane and Anna Espinoza. Sydney Bristow had the ability to light up a room just by walking into it. She was truly the best and will be sorely missed.

She was killed on a routine mission that ran into some problems. Agent Bristow carried herself with distinction and, despite being gravely wounded, managed to save twenty young children before succumbing to her injuries after a long fight for her life. All the people Sydney saved are her legacy.

-Eric Weiss

CIA

As he wrote the memo, Eric Weiss shed many tears over the keyboard. He knew he should have sent out this announcement sooner, but he just couldn't bring himself to it. He still remembered with Dixon had called him and told him what had happened. He had been so devastated that he didn't remember to call Vaughn and ask how he was handling things until later. Eric would regret that for the rest of his life. He slowly stood and left for the cemetery to pay his respects.

Eric stood there crying, staring at the headstone of his dear friend Sydney, he read the inscription: She was the world's hero, and yet few people even knew her name. Weiss bowed is head and gained the courage to look to the left of her headstone. That headstone read: He died because he couldn't live without her. In memory of Michael Vaughn. With a heavy heart, Weiss turned and went to go save the country.
