My Path Chosen

He called me brother

He called me friend

My heart was torn inside my chest

Like the sun and the moon

The two sides warred with each other

How could I deny him

When his voice called out so pitifully

Like a child crying for its mother

He begged me to stay

To return to where I belonged

A desperate plea

I almost turned

I almost stayed

But I knew I did not belong there

My path was already chosen

A/N: This is from Sasuke's point of view if you haven't already figured that out, the one he is speaking of is Naruto, and this is after he has left the village. I know that it doesn't happen this way in the actual story, but I don't think that he could bear to fight Naruto. 'Cause really, they grew up together and they went through so much that I can't actually believe that he could hurt Naruto that way. Naruto might have fought him, but my guess would be that Naruto would be too hurt to react until he had already left. I wrote this from Sasuke's point of view 'cause I cannot imagine him being totally emotionless and how he almost killed Naruto in cold blood was something that only an emotionless person could do. So I decided that he would leave with the proverbial heavy heart. Revenge was no longer his reason for leaving. In fact instead of him wanting to leave, he desperately wanted to remain in the village with those he loved. But he knew that he couldn't stay, he had already resigned himself to leaving so that he could keep his friends and village safe from his brother, who would eventually come looking for him.

Thank you for reading my poem I have another poem that is related to this one. If you haven't already read it then I would love it if you would check it out! Please review!
