A/N: Sorry for not updating anything, but I've had this idea floating about in my head for a story. I'm not sure whether or not to make this a series or just keep it as a one-shot. So yeah, hope you like it and I hope to update my other stories soon as I have the summer holidays coming up soon.

DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN ANY CHARACTERS RECOGNISABLE IN THIS STORY. I ONLY OWN THE GENERAL IDEA OF THIS STORY. HARRY POTTER BELONGS TO J.K. ROWLING.

Listening to Before The Dawn- Evanescence.

'Harry saw Sirius duck Bellatrix's jet of red light: He was laughing at her. "Come on, you can do better than that!" he yelled, his voice echoing around the cavernous room.

The second jet of light hit him squarely on the chest.

The laughter had not quite died from his face, but his eyes widened in shock.

It seemed to take Sirius an age to fall. His body curved in a graceful arc as he sank backward through the ragged veil hanging from the arch….

And Harry saw the look of mingled fear and surprise on his godfather's wasted, once-handsome face as he fell through the ancient doorway and disappeared behind the veil, which fluttered for a moment as though in a high wind and then fell back into place.'- Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix, page 805-807.

"No! No!"
Harry screamed out for his godfather. In no time, Remus Lupin was restraining Harry, wrapping his arms tightly around Harry's waist to stop the young boy from running after Bellatrix.
"LET ME GO! Sirius is still alive. I know he is! You have to believe me. Sirius is going to walk from the curtain and say it is all just a big joke."

Remus knew, and Harry knew, that Sirius would never joke about something as serious as his own death.

"Harry. I'm sorry. He's dead. There's nothing you can do about it and-"

Harry broke free from Remus' grasp and raced after Bellatrix.

"Harry! It's no use. You can't bring him back to life!"

The Next Day…

"So, neither can live while the other survives right?" Remus asked Harry for what seemed like the millionth time that evening.

"Yeah, unfortunately," Harry said softly.
Remus smiled sadly at his ex-student, the boy who reminded him of James.

"Remus," Harry began timidly. The man motioned for Harry to continue.
"What would mum and dad have done if they were here? What would they have said to me?" Harry asked.

Remus was silent. What was he supposed to say to Harry? What would you say to someone who's lost their parents at such a young age; what would Lily and James have said if they were here in this crucial moment? Finally, Remus John Lupin thought of something to say.

"That you would know the right thing to do."

Harry smiled at his old Professor.

"Thank you," he said sincerely, and he meant it.
"I'll see you tomorrow for our lessons, I assume?" Remus asked.

"Yes Professor. Of course Professor."

Harry left Remus' house, leaving the werewolf to realise, with a huge smile on his face, that Harry had called him 'Professor'.

Listening to Mother Earth- Within Temptation.

EDITED: I have edited this story slightly because when I uploaded it, the story had jumbled up words in the middle which I did NOT write myself. Hopefully, there are no mistakes in this edit.
