Chapter One
Miley Stewart stared down at the tiled hallway floors walking to third period. She could feel the stares of the other students walking by her. She's not like most teenagers at Galloway High, just about the opposite. Miley wasn't the preppy girl with the stick straight hair, dark tanned skin, a nose job, and the Abercrombie and Fitch clothes with tight 'slutty shorts'. Instead, she had her dark brown, almost black hair, flowing down her back. She had on her favorite ACDC shirt with a gray pair of skinny jeans and Vans. Unlike the other girls' flawless skin, she had six tattoos scattered on her body. Three were on her left arm, two on her right, and one on the right side of her neck. They all had a meaning, but would rather not have people mention anything about it.
Nicholas Gray was speed walking, practically running to his next class. He knew he would be late if he didn't hurry. As the star quarterback and the school hottie (according to the yearbook), he shouldn't care about being late to class, but he does. He knew that every hot girl was in that class, well, except a few. Beads of sweat began forming on his forehead when he felt something nudge into his back. He saw notebooks and folders spread on the floor. He turned to see a brunette collecting her things. She stood back up.
"Watch where you're going next time," she said without even looking at him and left. Nick didn't see who she was but he noticed the band shirt and tattoos up her arms. And wasn't she the one who bumped into him? And how become he's never seen her around before?
The bell had just rung and the students were sitting in their assigned seats, except a few who were sitting on the desks, carrying on their conversations. Mr. Phillips, the Language Arts teacher, stood in front of the room waiting for them to get quiet. They soon all sat down.
"Okay, class. Today we will be discussing our second reading assignment on Romeo and Juliet. Then, we will separate into groups and act out scenes from the book. Any questions?" He looked at the bunch of kids and saw nothing. "But, before we get to any of that, open your books to chapter six, lesson two, and Jake, start reading aloud."
As Jake started reading, Nick saw that the same girl who had ran into him earlier that day, sitting diagonal from him.
"Hey," he said, "Hey you, the girl with the black shirt on."
Miley, assuming Nick was talking to her, turned around in her seat. "What do you want?"
"Oh, I just wanted to say that you had nice tats." Nick whispered.
"Did you just say that I had nice tits?" The room got quiet and was moments before the class burst out into laughter. Apparently, Miley wasn't whispering and everyone heard the conversation. Embarrassing.
"Nick, Miley," Mr. Phillips said, "I don't mean to bother your…interesting conversation, but can we please focus now?" Both of the students nodded. Nick put his head down facing his desk and laughed quietly to himself.
A/N: I'm back. Or so I hope. This is something I came up with today during class and had to write it before I forgot it. I've just been super busy since school has started back up. I probably won't be uploading for awhile again. I have to march in a few parades next week at the town festival. So, again, I won't be uploading for awhile. And sorry it's so short. I hope the other chapters are longer.
