Always
Author's Note: I have no clue as to whether this is a drabble or a one-shot. Either way it's Peter/Sylar (shock horror) and thus slash so if you don't like, don't read. Simple.

Peter has Sylar in his grasp. With one swift movement he could end it.
So why doesn't he?
He thinks it is probably because he doesn't believe he could take a life, even one as worthless as Sylar's.
But that's just it. Is Sylar's life worthless? He doesn't know. He should know. Everyone else seems to think so. He knows no one will shed a tear at the ending of a man who caused so much pain and suffering.
He's hesitating and he knows Sylar can see this and that he is confused. He doesn't do anything, simply stares at Peter, waiting for his life to be extinguished for good.
Peter hears the other's shouts of encouragement but still he hesitates. Their triumphant cries are distracting him. That's the reason. It must be.
So he teleports them to another, empty, location. And lets his grip on Sylar slacken until finally he lets go and steps back.
Sylar watches him, obviously wondering what Peter is doing. He would like to know, himself.
He takes a deep, calming breath. It doesn't help. He tries to smile. He doesn't know why.
And then Sylar says, "I thought you were really going to kill me that time." He laughs and takes Peter in his arms, kissing him softly.
"I don't want to do this anymore, Sylar," he murmurs, his forehead resting gently against Sylar's own.
He sees the hurt in Sylar's eyes at this statement and, instead of rushing to reassure him, simply smiles and says, "Stay with me forever, Sylar."
Sylar is kissing him before he can really say anything, not that there was anything left to say.
"Always," Sylar whispers roughly, breaking their kiss.
