Don't Leave Me

She couldn't take it.

She couldn't take the pain anymore.

"Tailgate...!"

Every night, she saw them in her dreams. The first time was enough. Just as she was about to get through the ordeal, it had to happen again.

"No... Cliff!"

Was there something in her that was... cursed? Did she really infect all those around her? Why... why did they all had to go? She couldn't listen to reason. She had to go get herself attached again.

"Arcee?"

"Wheeljack...!"

She felt herself wrapping her arms around the Wrecker, tears rolling down her face. For whatever reason, she wanted to break down in front of him like a sparkling... yet she knew he wouldn't leave.

"'Cee...? 'Cee, what's wrong? Tell me."

She breathed, trying to speak through the tears.

"Promise me... promise me you'll never leave me...!"

His arms wrapped around her, holding her in a secure embrace.

She whispered under her breath. "I need you...!"

After what seemed like forever, he finally broke the silence. "No... I won't. I'm not gonna leave. I'm here, 'Cee... I'll always be here."

"I... I don't want to be alone anymore, Jackie... it frightens me."

She looked into his cyan optics, seeing the entire universe as she lost herself in their light.

They didn't knew each other for long, though being survivors of Cybertron probably helped a bit. If it weren't for that moment in the caves when he opened up to her about Bulkhead, they wouldn't have gotten closer as friends. Right now, she'd do anything to take back that moment when she pushed him away when they accidentally kissed.

"Then you don't have to be anymore."

And their lips touched each other for the second time.
