A one-shot that came to me while writing chapter 9 of "The Switch"
Des: He will never love. A One- shot.
He will never love,
it's a shame,
it hurts the way he calls my name.
He will never love,
oh how it taunts me,
I am his most faithful servant,
yet in that way, we could never be.
He will never love,
I slaughter those who are not worthy to live,
and no-matter how many times I screw up,
he will, though unwillingly, forgive.
He will never love,
No, I must not let this get to me;
I must compose myself for him,
for I am the strong one...
or at least it seems.

Taunting thoughts run through my head,
horrible ones,
inviting me to my deathbed.
He will never love,
but, no, I shall live for another day,
and another,
just for the pleasure of seeing his snake-like face.
