King and Queen's Delight
After the defeat of Victor and Carlotta, Dodger and Niamh were enjoying themselves as leaders of the sloth village. But Niamh was feeling uneasy which causes Dodger to notice his new wife's strange behavior.
"Is something wrong Niamh?" Dodger said concerned about his wife.
"I'm just… nervous about being a ruler of this village." Niamh replied nervously.
"Relax, you're the most beautiful sloth I have met to be my queen." He reassured her.
"R-Really? Dodger that's so nice of you to say that!" She replied again.
"Come on, Niamh. You my queen and this village is pleased with their new rulers." He reassured her again.
"It's not this village and its people…" She said sadly.
"Well, what is it?" He asked.
"It's you… I'm nervous being with you because your strong… handsome… brave and-" Her lips stop when her husband puts his finger on them.
"OK, OK, stop. You're making me blush, my love." He hushed his wife while he blushes.
"Sorry… I need some time for a bit…" She said as she walks out of the throne room.
"OK, I'll be leaving the throne for a bit soon." He replied.
As soon as Niamh got outside, she went to a nearby tree and sat down at the base of it with forlorn look on her face.
"Oh, Queen Niamh is everything OK?" A sloth villager asked her.
"Oh, I'm fine… It's just that… I'm just nervous being queen with Dodger." Niamh said nervously.
"Oh, about King Dodger… He just left the throne room and said he was going to the springs. The guards are watching the throne room now." He explained to her.
"Oh, thank you!" She said as she runs off to the springs.
"Anytime… I hope she gets over her nervousness of her husband." He thought while watching Niamh go to the springs.
Niamh reaches the springs and spots Dodger relaxing in the water.
"OK Niamh, you can do this. He's your husband… your soul mate… I can be like Carrie who's brave and she talked to Sid with ease." Niamh said in her thoughts as she walks over to the spring.
"Hey there my queen." Dodger greeted her.
"Hey, Dodgy. I just want to say sorry from earlier." She apologized.
"It's fine, just come and relax over here with me." He said inviting her.
"Um… I…" She replied speechless.
"Come on Niamey, its fine." He reassured her.
"OK… Ooh… Aaaah… This feels good Dodgy." She said while in the spring.
"Yeah, it's fine since now that Leo, Victor and Carlotta is gone." He said as he swam over and snuggles against his wife.
"You're very warm…" She said as she nuzzles his neck.
"Yeah… So you're OK now, right? No more nervousness?" He asked her.
"Oh yes… I feel so much alive and safe now that I'm with you my, king." She replied calmly.
"Yeah… Oh, which reminds me… We should get back to the village!" He exclaimed worriedly about the villager and its residents.
"Oh yeah, we should go!" She said as she got out of the water with her mate.
The royal couple returns to the village to see everyone asleep as they went into their throne room.
"Well, time to turn in my dear." Dodger said as he walks to the bed.
"Um… Dodgy?" Niamh asked her mate.
"Yes, Niamey?" He said as lays on the bed.
"Thank you for making me feel more comfortable with you." She said as she walks to the bed and lie down next to Dodger.
"You're welcome my love. *yawns* For now, let's go to sleep." He said as he snuggles against his mate.
"*yawns* Yeah and Dodgy?" She asked once more.
"Hmm?" He answered her.
"I love you." She said before falling asleep.
"I love you too, Niamey." He replied back before falling asleep.
