...It's Christmas and I love TWEWY so sue me.

"College?"

Shiki nodded.

"Me and Eri, I-I mean Eri and I, we've been…. we've been talking." She said, slightly stuttering. "Eri said…. she said…"

A silence came over her. Hands shaking, Shiki took her glasses off and began polishing them with the hem of her shirt.

The silence continued.

Neku watched as she polished. Shiki was wiping the glasses so hard that an occasion squeak was made from the poor frames. She didn't seem to notice though, more concentrated on calming her nerves than saving her glasses from potentially being broken.

"She said?" Neku asked, breaking the silence. He reached over and placed a hand over Shiki's, half worried that the glasses were going to break and half worried about how silent Shiki had become.

Shiki seemed to snap out of it after that. Slowly letting go, her glasses fell to her lap. She frowned slightly at her now crinkled hem of her shirt.

"Great now I have to straighten it." She mumbled to herself. Neku blinked.

"Don't tell me you also carry an iron around too." He half joked.

Shiki looked up indignantly. "I do not! It's just the sewing kit, that's all."

"Yes, I know about that one." Neku said.

Shiki blushed a little. "B-but it was a good thing I had it right?"

No answer from Neku.

"I-I mean, if I didn't have it then the button would have fallen off and the pocket would've broke and you might have lost your pins or maybe-"

"Shiki." Neku cut her off. "You're rambling again."

"R-right. Sorry."

Neku shrugged, his hand still on Shiki's.

"It's fine." He said, as their fingers entwined.

Putting her glasses back on, Shiki looked at Neku. Judging by the way his bangs were covering his face, she could only assume that he was embarrassed. What she had learned in their time together was that Neku never blushed. If he ever felt embarrassed, he would either brush it off or pretend it never happened.

But that didn't mean he still couldn't be embarrassed.

Shiki took a deep breath.

"I-I mean, we have to be thinking of our future you know? And when we think of our futures than we have to think of what we can do now and-"

"Shiki, if you have something to say than say it."

Another long pause, another deep breath from Shiki.

"Neku…. I want to go into a career in fashion, you know that."

"Yeah."

"And well so does Eri."

"Shiki, you can never be-"

"I know. It's not that just…." Shiki locked eyes with Neku.

"Eri wants to go to New York to study fashion."

Oh. Now Neku could see what she was getting at.

"Neku, if I have to leave the country to go to a better university, would you be okay with that?"

Another silence. Neku didn't know how to respond. She was basically asking him whether she should leave or not.

The silence washed over them as they watched the people passing. Tourists taking pictures of the festive Shibuya walked around them.

Finally Neku spoke.

"Idiot."

Shiki blinked as Neku once again made eye contact with her.

"Of course I wouldn't be okay with it." He said truthfully. "But, if it means getting your dreams then I'll support you. I promise."

Relief rushed through Shiki. She smiled. Why had she been worried again? Sure leaving Shibuya if she had to would be hard but….

She gazed at Neku before pulling him into a kiss.

But with a boyfriend like Neku, she'd never be alone.

Yes, they're dating in this one. I've been looking at some fashion colleges and so far the major ones are...not in Japan. So I wanted Shiki to be thinking of that. Also...college. (Fake) Yay...

Small Omake

"Your face is red."

"Yours too."

"….."

"….."

"Shiki."

"Hm?"

"Merry Christmas."
