Hey people! This is my second fanfiction and I hope you enjoy it. Unfortunately, I have not found much of a place for Grell yet, but I will try. Oh, and this is after(way after) season two, so it might spoil the ending. Well, I guess I'll start now...
Chapter 1-Irritation
Sebastian Michaelis couldn't take it anymore! One more button on the Earl Phantomhive's shirt; one more disgusting dessert, and he might just consider running away with Grell. He shuddered delicately.
"How is today's schedule?" Ciel demanded after Sebastian woke him up.
"You have a history lesson and equestrian practice today," he replied smoothly, pouring a cup of steaming amber tea. Ciel sniffed and asked " The Ceylon tea from Sri Lanka today?" before taking the cup with both hands. He stared at the intricate thorny pattern before sipping it.
"Ninety four years has given you much experience," said Sebastian, turning away to spoon apricot jam onto a scone, and hiding a scowl. His usually emotionless face was tarnished with expressions of frustration more and more these days. He set the breakfast on Ciel's covered knees and turned away again, walking around the bed to get his clothes. There was a tinkle of breaking glass an Sebastian stepped on something near Ciel's pillow and stopped.
"Bring that here!" the young master said sharply. The butler obeyed, but managed to get a quick look at the framed picture. Maylene, Finny, Bard, Tanaka, Agni, Prince Soma, and Elizabeth smiled up at him.
"Feeling sentimental, are we?" asked Sebastian, his smirk widening as he took the dirty dishes.
"Repair that as soon as possible! It's an order!" commanded Ciel. Sebastian looked up from putting on Ciel's shoes, stood up, then bowed again. "Yes, my lord."
-Later-
Ciel stepped down the stairs and stopped in front of his four servants. "Good morning young master!" they chanted with smiles extending over their faces.
''Mae, did you polish the silverware?" Sebastian asked, and she stiffened. "Timmy, did you weed the herb garden?" he continued, earning an apologetic shake of the head. "Bernard, did you start on lunch?" he finished, and Bernard stuck a cigarette between his teeth and sighed. "Hmm Hmm Hmm.." said Kanata, sipping coffee from a miniscule cup. Sebastian shook his head wearily and opened his mouth to reprimand his inept workers but at that exact moment, there was a haunted whisper of "Ciel...". Ciel winced as a girl with short black hair and red eyes walked quietly down the hallway. Her eyes were hollow, and she had a creepy aura, from her short red dress to the tips of her tall, high-heeled red boots. The temperature in the room dropped perceptibly.
"I've been waiting for you Ciel..." she said, smiling crookedly. "Did you know that there is a disease you can get from eating human brains?" she grinned at everyone's disgusted expressions.
"Hello Crystina," Ciel said dully.
"You seem sad. I brought you some flowers," she said, and produced a bouquet of blackened, wilted roses. "And call me Crissy, please. So what shall we do today? We could burn ants with magnifying glasses, or-Wait! I have to show you something." She dragged Ciel into the kitchen. Everyone gaped, except Sebastian, who grimaced. More work for him. The whole had been painted black. Thorny roses snaked around a fanged, winged creature.
''Do you like it?" Crissy asked, giving Ciel a look that prevented any reply but a squeaky "yes!''. She skipped out of the room, singing. Ciel caught the words "axe" and "burn". Sebastian moaned inwardly.
"The mail, sir," said Mae, holding a trembling hand out toward Sebastian. He took it, sorting through the tax letters and letters from relatives to reveal a letter with a green seal. He sighed. Today was going to be a long day.
