It was a quite day in the land of Rivendell. I was in the land of Rivendell because my father was called in for a council meeting by lord Elrond. So he brought me along.

I was starting to get bored just sitting there with all those creepy old men. I don't really like old men. They creep me out for some reason. They always bother my with stupid things (like stupid questions and others such things). And they give people icky looks. They are such creepers.

Not only was I getting bored but I was starting to become the center of attention. If there is one thing I hate more then old men it's being the center of attention of a whole group of practically old men. So I decided I was going to go for a walk.

I started to walk under a grove of the most beatiful trees. I started to sing one of my fave songs thinking that I was alone. I sang and I sang and I sang. When I had reached the end of the song someone behind me began to applaude. I turned around to find I was not the only one who was bored of the meeting. Behind me was young person who looked around my age.

"Don't stop singing," said the guy. "It is quite good."

"Thanks," I said walking over to stand next to him. Upon getting closer I realized that this person was not a regular human. He was an elf. "My names Ritienne. You can call me Rit if you want."

"My name is Legolas Greenleaf," said the young elf. "My father is one of the elder elf on the council."

"Oh. I guess you got bored too?"

"Yes. I don't know why father insists I come to these things. I always end up walking out half through."

"Me too."

"Would you care if I joined you?"

"I would love it if you joined me. I never thought that anyone else who wasn't part of the council was ever invited. I thought I was the only one."

"Me too."

We walked along in silence for a while. Then I asked Legalos to tell me a little about himself. You see I don't like to walk in silence. It way to creepy. So as he talked I listened. And the more I listened the more this young elf started to look more and more appealing.

That night I curled up with my teddy bear Charlie and told him all about Legalos. Charlie is sort of one of my confidants. I can tell him anything without fear of being made fun or that the information will leaked to anyone else.

The next few weeks past with Legolas and me meeting up under the mallron trees and talking and walking for hours. No one ever came to look for us because they had better things to think over. Until the final day of the council meeting came.

Legolas and I met up as usual but we were much more subdued than we usually were. This was going to be the last time he and I saw each other.

"Legolas," I said hesitantly, "what are we going to do? Will I ever see you again?"

"I don't know," said Legolas holding me close.

It's strange how I could talk this guy because normally I am not that good about talk to them. But with Legolas everything changed. I could talk more freely with him. I had to tell him how I felt.

"Legolas," I began hestatingly, "I have something I need to tell you."

"I have something I need to tell you too," said Legolas. "You may go first."

I got up on my tip toes and kissed him tenderly on the lips. "I love you Legolas Greenleaf," I said.

"I love you too, Rit," said Legolas.

When Ada and I got home that day I told my sisters and mother all about Legolas and our world wind love under the mallron trees. And I never forgot him as long as I lived. No other man compared with him.
