This is actually my first story rewritten. :] Enjoy. I don't own Naruto. I don't even want to. x]

i.
When Sakura found Kiba crying in the fields surrounded by flowers one day, she asked in her cute little six-year-old voice, what's wrong?. Kiba sniffed and looked at her with a childish innocence that only a six-year-old could muster. I hurt my hand, he said, and its bleeding and I don't know what to do! So, she took muddy little Kiba home, and gave him a big fat band-aid and said It's all better.
They became the best of friends.
ii.
They saw each other again and again, and Kiba told her, at the park with the swings and a pond, that he was going to be a shinobi. And I'm going to have a big, strong nin-ken, and no one's going to be able to stop me! He said, with all his seven-year-old glee. I'll also need a pretty sidekick.
Sakura decided then and there that she would be a kunoichi.
iii.
Kiba and Sakura slowly became inseparable. Kiba and Sakura. Can't see one without the other, the villagers would say. So when Kiba got hurt, Sakura would spend all her allowance on a band-aid and a piece of candy (Can I have watermelon? It's my favorite) to help him get better. When Sakura got teased because of her wide forehead (Haha, forehead-girl, forehead-girl!), Kiba chased away all the mean kids. When Kiba got his nin-ken (Look, Sakura, meet Akamaru!), which wasn't as big and strong as he thought it would be, but would grow in time, Sakura helped Kiba scrounge together enough money to have their own little celebration party.
So when Sakura got disowned for even thinking about being a ninja (But why can't I be a ninja?| Sakura, the only place for a girl is at home, learning how to be a good housewife.), Kiba was there to find her in the field, crying and surrounded by flowers, and offer her a place to stay.
iv.
During the Academy, though, they drifted apart slightly. Sakura became infatuated with the Uchiha boy (Sasuke-kun! Sasuke-kun!), and Kiba trained harder and harder (Come on Akamaru! Let's show that Uchiha who's boss!). It wasn't until the Uchiha left Konoha when they finally started getting close again.
They made a pinky promise that they would always be friends, always watch each others backs.
v.
They spend whole nights just sitting at the park with each other, spilling out all their secrets and thoughts, and just enjoying each others company.
Kiba-kun, I don't think Sasuke will ever come back. I think, no, I know that Naruto will be Hokage, because he's such a hero and he always saves the day and it's his dream. I think that chocolate ice cream is better than strawberry, and green is my favorite color. And Kiba, I think you're the best friend anyone could ever have, and I love you more than Naruto loves ramen.
Sakura-chan, I think that Sasuke shouldn't come back, because then he'd just be a jerk and you'd get hurt again. I think that Naruto should be come Hokage, but if dogs where allowed to be Hokage, Akamaru would be it, because he's the most loyal, strongest, and best dog in the whole wide world. I think that teriyaki is better than ice cream, and brown is my favorite color. And Sakura, I think you're so perfect and beautiful and like an angel, and I love you more than Tsunade-sama loves sake and gambling.
And somewhere along the way, they fell in love.
