Kate's POV: As the rain fell, i could just imagine the sadness on his face, as i kissed Peter. The war was just over. As punishment there would be one male and one female child by the ages of 12-18 chosen from each of the 12 Districts to fight in a televised battle. To the death. Here i was chosen. To participate in this source of entertainment to the people of the Capitol. Peter, my fellow mate from District 12 was my companion. You see, to win, both members of the same District had to survive. Yet, we had to gain favouritism from the sponsors. Thus my "Relationship" with Peter. Sadly, i already had a soul mate at home. Gale. How disorientating. This games i found were useless, just a mindless wasting away of people. Throughout the games, the only thing we hoped for was the visiting of a single friend, not family once every 5 days. I sighed heavily. Gale would most probably meet me angrily. I stepped up to the portal. 5...4...3...2...1. It opened and i could see a computerized version of Gale. It was too dangerous for them to enter the arena. "Kate, how could you. Nevermind. All is well, survive and come home. Goodbye." Gale just left. He never knew that it was just a game.
Gale's POV: I knew she had a right to, but still how could Kate just do this to me? Forget it, i was being selfish. Still, Adele's song kept replaying through my mind.
