There are many kinds of love.  There's passionate love, there's romantic-squishy love, there's platonic love, and then there's my kind of love.  The love that can only be experienced between a brother and sister.  It's the kind of love not often explained, but deeply understood.

Friday night I'm going nowhere
All the lights are changing green to red
Turning over TV stations
Situations running through my head
Well looking back through time
You know it's clear that I've been blind
I've been a fool
To ever open up my heart
To all that jealousy, that bitterness, that ridicule

I don't know why I never told her this.  She is my little sister, after all, and I do love her, despite the way I act towards her.  I've just never been very good at expressing my emotions.  But I do love her.  God, I'd die for her if I had to.


Saturday I'm running wild
And all the lights are changing red to green
Moving through the crowd I'm pushing
Chemicals all rushing through my bloodstream
Only wish that you were here
You know I'm seeing it so clear
I've been afraid
To tell you how I really feel
Admit to some of those bad mistakes I've made

It's not the same without her around.  Sometimes I feel as if there's a part of me that can never be filled.  At least, not until she comes home for good.

But she comes back to visit of course.  It keeps me sane knowing that my sister is safe and I'll see her soon.  I can't lose her.  She's my lifeline.  She's all I have.
