Sorry it took so long to post. Summer is busy. I thought of this story in the shower, and I had to write it down. Don't worry. I'm working on a full story with chapters. Enjoy!
Loki came home to find Sigyn lying on the couch, clutching her stomach. Her light brown hair down, which was unusual, because she mostly wore it in a loose braid. Sigyn shifted at the noise of the front door being closed, which caused more hair to cover her face. "Hello?" she asked.
"Are you alright?" Loki asked and hung his cap on a hook.
"No. It's that stupid time of the month," Sigyn complained into the couch.
"Oh," was all Loki had to say. He knew cramps were painful, especially without medicine to help ease the pain. Most girls took painkillers to stop cramps, but Sigyn chose to endure the pain without medicine, saying that "it was a part of life and many women from the past had to deal with cramps without the help of painkillers."
Sigyn groaned and shifted position. Loki gave a pitiful look to his girlfriend. He had experienced the same thing once. It wasn't fun, to say the least.
Having a wonderful idea, Loki walked over to the kitchen and opened a cupboard filled with mugs and cups. He grabbed two mugs and went in search for the box that held tea. He filled the mugs with water and put them in the microwave. Letting the microwave heat the tea, Loki headed upstairs to the bedroom he shared with Sigyn. He looked over the balcony to see if Sigyn had moved, but she was still laying on the couch in the living room.
After making sure that Sigyn hasn't moved, Loki opened a secret closet near the bedroom door. He looked through the containers stored in there and choose a small, blue bucket. He then searched through several drawers near the real closet and pulled out a blanket. Loki then set those things on the bed to grab two books off the nightstands. Putting his arm through the bucket's handle and throwing the blanket over his shoulder, Loki picked up the books and walked back downstairs to the kitchen.
The tea was already done, so Loki placed the books on top of the bucket and carried everything to where Sigyn was laying.
"Are you well enough to have some tea?" Loki asked and set one mug on the coffee table.
Sigyn sat up and accepted the tea Loki handed to her. "Thank you," she replied and stared questionly at the bucket. "What is in that?"
Loki set the bucket on the table, took the books off the top, handed a book to Sigyn, and took off the bucket's lid. "I thought that maybe reading and eating chocolate would make you feel better," Loki responded and pulled the blanket off his shoulder.
Sigyn's face lit up at the mention of chocolate. "Really? This is all too kind…" Sigyn said, but picked out an Almond Joy anyway.
Loki smiled and tucked the blanket around Sigyn's legs. "Cheers?" he asked and held up his mug.
"Cheers!" Sigyn giggled and clinked their mugs together.
Loki sat down next to Sigyn and preceded to read. Sigyn snuggled up closer to her boyfriend, a book in one hand and chocolate in the other. "And they say you're an evil psychopath," Sigyn said.
Loki laughed and kissed her on the top of her head. Sigyn smiled up at him in response. Needless to say, she felt much better, knowing that having a caring boyfriend is better at curing a little pain than medicine ever could.
THE END!
Hope you enjoyed my little love story. I know in the myths Sigyn and Loki are married, but I always envisioned them as boyfriend/girlfriends. As always, don't be afraid to point out any potential spelling/grammar errors. If you have a question, comment, and/or concern, please leave a review! :)
