My story is heavily influenced by the 3rd Naruto Shippūden Movie, " Naruto Shippūden: The Will of Fire".
IT'S A WORK IN PROGRESS!

'Earth Release: Rock Shelter'
Far quicker than anyone could have reacted, Naruto maneuvered swiftly through his Hand Signs before slamming both hands onto the ground below. Bursting from the ground were large pillars of rock that joined together in the shape of dome — shielding them from the fireball that hurled towards them.
A thunderous boom was met, echoing across the area with fire and smoke sweeping across the dome.
Everything had gone dark, the boom made the company flinch at the sound assaulting their ears, clamping onto them on instinct, they were all rocked from the ground that quaked beneath them. Not phased by the quake, his dome of earth did not yeild to the fireball. With chakra laced within it, it was durable enough to withstand fire and water based attacks. Being in his control Naruto sent chakra through the dome where a piece of the wall crumbled away into a horizontal opening acting as a window to see through. With the flames and smoke gone, Naruto saw the creature responsible for the fireball.
Meters across from where the dome was, there was a wooden bridge along with ruins of the tower that were scattered across the swamp. More like a wall of a building that extended to the left side and a large water pool along on the right, the bridge cut between the two with land on the other side. From what he remembered, the creature standing on the bridge was a Hurlock.
A Darkspawn taller than the stout and stubby Genlock species, it was garbed in bone-like armor plates. Yet something was much different about this one. A strange crest piece was connected with its helmet that fanned out in spiky protrusions, and in its right hand it held onto a crooked looking wooden staff with its left hand engulfed in flames.
It wasn't just the Hurlock he could see, there were others on the other side of the bridge. Genlocks and Hurlocks either standing, hiding in the trees and hills, ready to attack should they manage to pass the magic wielding Hurlock.
"Duncan never said these things could use magic?" Naruto said aloud, somewhat confused at the discovery yet surprised all the same.
He didn't know if it was the boom that damaged his hearing, because Alistair could have sworn he heard Duncan's new recruit say a Darkspawn had just used Magic? Laughable as it may seem, Alistair took it with great seriousness at such a notion. The only time he ever heard of a Darkspawn using Magic was said through the senior Grey Wardens who had been in the order longer than he had. With the recent Darkspawn activity increasing, that thought could only for certain, mean that it was - "An Emissary!?" Alistair gasped aloud.
Daveth and Sir Jory who had clutched their ears to try and fruitlessly stop the ringing in their ears managed to hear what Alistair gasped.
An Emissary? What in Maker's name was an Emissary?!
Whatever it was, it sure to have been the boom that almost rocked them off their feet and the light ringing they now suffered from.
"This is bad, this is really, really bad" Alistair had become unease. Darkspawn were of no trouble unless you were properly trained, if prepared and proceed with caution the battle was in one's favor when facing against due to their mindlessness of just attacking everything on sight. The only thing most should worry about was being overrun and surrounded by giant hoards. But an Emissary was on a whole different scale. Capable of using Magic they were a formidable foe that even the most experienced Grey Wardens would have difficulty in handling lest they themselves could use Magic or had more companions with them.
An Emissary wasn't usually seen on the surface, in fact they were never seen all that much even in the Deep Roads. Only meant to appear when a Blight is evident do they appear. An Emissary were more advance than their lower Darkspawn brothers. Acting as commander or general, some Wardens have actually claimed that an Emissary can talk in their language.
Alistiar may not be as experienced as some of his fellow Wardens, but claims of Emissaries were not in the brightest of tales and were circumstances that would be wised to avoid unless you had not other choice but to confront them.
In this circumstance, there was a choice. They could retreat, have Duncan or any of the other Mages try to handle the Emissary. With Naruto acting as their Mage it could still be risky. Alistair wasn't willing to risk it. There was to much uncertainty.
"What're going to do? With that Darkspawn hurling balls of fire at us, we'll be cooked alive before we get a chance at those treaties" Daveth had spoke. While he was shocked with the blonde summoning a shield of earth to protect them, they had a Darkspawn capable of using Magic too. Being burned alive was the last thing the former thief wanted.
"Maker's breath! Why didn't you tell us these creatures could use Magic!?" Jory in his shock snapped at Alistair. While handling these creatures was fine and done, they just kept appearing no matter how many they killed and it worried him just enough to notice that these things were as notorious as the stories told about them. But now, a Darkspawn capable of using Magic seemed to toss everything the stories told.
"Emissaries don't come out to the surface like normal Darkspawn!" Alistair retorted.
Normal?! The Darkspawn they were fighting were normal compared to this Emissary that Alistair spoke of? A lone brow raised, Naruto wondered if it was because it could use Magic. Humming, it was possible that an Emissary had to have some status in a hierarchy. To him this entire time they seemed like mindless beasts. Using swords and shields, having armor made that idea a little less considering what little they were capable of. Could it be that Naruto had underestimated the capabilities of these creatures?
He frowned. One of the important rules to a shinobi was to never underestimate their opponents no matter what, and unfortunately Naruto had broken that rule. Looking at the narrow window he created, Naruto focused his sight - his vision expanding passed the hoard of Darkspawn and through the forest and hills of the swamp. He saw the tower not far from them. Maybe a few kilometers from where they were, the treaties were what mattered and these Darkspawn with their Emissary were in the way of that.
Naruto gave a grunt, 'it's been a while since I've used any major Jutsu, neglecting my training for any serious combat has waned over the years' Naruto thought to himself. 'It's almost getting dark and I'm not sure that'll be a good if we're still here with these things out roaming the entire swamp I'm not sure what they'll do in that time'
There was hardly an obstacles he couldn't handle. This place, this world was far more malleable than his world and perhaps because he knew that Naruto had gotten lazy. Giving a breath, a dreary sigh Naruto knew he had to take out the Darkspawn with the cost of some effort on his part. An effort that could tire him out more than it should. Getting up from his crouch, Naruto moved to the back of the dome. "I'll handle the Emissary, your three just wait till I'm done" lifting his hand the earth cracked and broke apart where the dome now stood split in half.
"Are you insane! This isn't your usual Darkspawn, you don't know what this Emissary could have up its sleeve" Alistair protested. Admirable as it was, this was likely to end badly. This wasn't an enemy dealt with on a daily basis. If anything, it should be his responsibility in dealing with the Emissary no matter the risk. It was his duty as a Grey Warden.
"Maybe, but the tower isn't far from where we're at. If we don't deal with the Emissary now, it'll be night before we reach the tower and I'm not sure how you guys are going to handle seeing in the dark with these creatures out and about" Naruto shrugged, pulling something from his back pouch.
"This is not part of the trial ya'know. It was for you to get a better understanding about the Darkspawn when facing them later on, and finding the Treaties" Alistair countered, telling him it wasn't even much an actual effort to try when already they had the three vials of Darkspawn blood. They could retreat and let the senior Grey Wardens handle it. He wasn't being cowardly, it was a smart thing to consider when there were other options.
Naruto stood quietly. Maybe there were other options. Maybe they could skip the treaties and go right into the ritual and become Grey Warden. With the Taint already inside him, he felt his life force quiver with each passing second at how the Taint was attacking his body and life force. The whole point he even came was because he wanted to find the cure to the Taint. It wasn't like these people could stop him, not with the power he had.
But the Darkspawn were a threat he could acknowledge.
"More or less, Alistair. That's what I said to you when you asked me if I were a Mage, right?"
To which Alistair nodded.
"Well, to answer your question from before, I'm not"
The former Templar gave a flat stare. Really? He wasn't a Mage? Probably the biggest and weakest lie he ever heard, that is until the blonde continued.
"I'm not a Mage, what I am is something else, something this world has never seen before. What I am, I AM 'SHINOBI' and I will handle this fight from here" with a slight turn, Alistair and the rest had stiffened at the piercing one-eyed stare. A thin web of veins bulged from the side of his temple and underneath his eye. His iris became a large, featureless white orb with a small shade of grey at the center. As odd as it was, as disturbing as it was, something about that gaze made the Grey Warden tremble.
It didn't feel as if he was staring at him, but staring through him to his very soul. It was fear fear inducing and point made. With that Naruto left to fight the Emissary and the hoard.
Quivering as he did, a thought could still be made. Shinobi? What in Maker's name was a Shinobi?! Alistair didn't know, but he got a good feeling he was about to find out. With him, Daveth and Jory protected by half of the dome they looked through the horizontal window and watched as the blonde made his way toward the Emissary.

As an Emissary the Old God spoke its command, a mighty roar that echoed across chasms and left many of its kin to feel its power. Even on the surface the Old God's roar still reached. The Hurlock Emissary had come to the surface to bring about order and stability that the Old God spoke. To ensure that no Darkspawn did anything else than what the Old God desired.
A Blight was to come soon and the Darkspawn were scattered, generals were summoned in the Old Gods stead. The humans were being dealt with and with a small band appearing did the Hurlock Emissary channel the magical properties it possessed and conjured a fireball at them. Believing to have finished them, the Emissary went along with the orders given. But its sight met a human — the same human that was with the small group, walking towards the direction where it was at.
Clenching the staff, Hurlock gave a monstrous roar, spittle spewing from its crooked fanged mow as it called forth its kin. Perhaps this one had survived, meaning this one was stronger from the rest. That's when the music played. A tune only its kin could hear. Giving odd movements with its head, the Emissary could still sense the Taint within this human. How... odd? Somehow this human was able to handle the Taint flowing in its veins. Most would either die upon the corruption. A Grey Warden? The Hurlock Emissary thought.
No. The Old God told of Grey Wardens and this one was different from how the Taint was within him. The Taint hadn't been ingested but rather became inflicted upon this human through means it did not know entirely. That meant this human was handling the corruption of the Taint.
Its own senses reached out, the Grey Warden that was with said human was still alive, the Hurlock could feel it without a doubt. Glaring at the human before him, perhaps this one was responsible for the Grey Warden's survival. A shame. If left untreated, this one could have turned into a Ghoul and joined alongside the Old God. To hear the music play as it did for all Darkspawn kind.
Flames gathered in the Emissary's palm, twirling its staff and channeling through it, another fireball was unleashed towards the human.
Needing only three Hand Signs, 'Suiton: Mizurappa —Water Release: Wild Water Wave' filling his mouth and inflating his cheeks Naruto spewed a stream of water from his mouth. Fire met water, and in one big explosion of steam the two attacks canceled each other out.
The Water Release: Wild Water Wave is a basic Water Release technique which has many variations. Either water gushes from the user's mouth like a waterfall and washes away the enemy. One can freely control the power of this technique with the amount chakra one releases. In this case, Naruto was capable of cancelling the fireball the Emissary conjured.
Through the cloud of steam Naruto saw the Emissary move back. It wanted him to follow so it could lure him into an ambush. A simple tactic just as effective as any other, this however would prove to be the wrong move. Feeling the brushing steam cloud cross him in a wave Naruto reached the other of the bridge but stopped where he saw the Emissary surrounded by a hoard of Genlocks and Hurlocks. On its orders - from what Naruto could tell the humanoid monster gave a bellowing roar and made the others charge in a stampede - weapons raised and crying their monstrous roar cries.
Needing a short breath on this one, Naruto took stance and quickly maneuvered through four Hand Signs. 'Water Release: Water Beast'.
"Maker's breath!" Sir Jory gasped.
Alistair and Daveth too were wide eye as they saw the water come life.
Bursting like a geyser the water broke from the center of the wooden bridge - destroying it in the process - and churned wildly. Waved swelled and began to flood the area with the gushing pillar morphed on its own. Alive, the geyser took shape that baffled the Darkspawn for what they were seeing. A water apparition had long forelimbs, a narrow snout and pointed ears with crimson glowing eyes. Naruto's water beast took the form of a wolf-like creature.
Looming over him with its paws resting on the ground while half of the water construct was still merged with the large water pools, the wolf gave a sideways thrash, moving his limbs across the area. Melting into a torrential wave that swept the panicking Darkspawn all at once, even the Emissary was caught in the struggle.
If the drowning didn't kill them, then the tremendous internal damage done by the waves sudden force would surely be enough.
Trees were easily uprooted, water pools increased and the fragmented remains of the ruins were destroyed alongside everything caught in his attack. With the hills surrounding them like walls, the area was easily flooded with ankle to waist length depths of water. The water pools will drain the flooding he caused.
Using a significant amount of chakra on his part was already starting to catch up to him. His heart began to pace along with beads of sweat rolling down his temple. The neglect of training was going to take a major amount of time to regain back the proper amount of strength wasted. 'I deserve it for being so careless' Naruto griped in thought.
Looking across the flood slowly being drained Naruto saw movement. To his surprise he saw a couple Darkspawn still active despite the technique he used. Earth and water were used in a single day straight, a new record on his part but unfortunately he'd have to pick up the pace again. Another set of Hand Signs, but the molding of his chakra differed from the previous elements he controlled. 'Raiton: Jibashi —Lightning Release: Electromagnetic Murder'
Cackling across his palms, a surge of bluish-white jolts of electricity snapped and cackled across his skin. With one wave of his hand Naruto unleashed a violent stream of lightning that easily spread across the ankle deep water. And like a light show, every Darkspawn that survived felt their muscles lock and pain overtaking their senses. They roared in a loud chorus with their bodies lit by a faint bluish-white shroud.
And like the light show, it was gone in a matter of moment. Thuds and splashes were heard, Naruto after using three separate elemental techniques with an extensive use on the water beast, Naruto fell to one leg but held on.
His muscles were throbbing, sickly and numbing he felt the exertion reach its toll. "Pathetic. I reduced myself to this" biting his lower lip, Naruto forced himself to stand up — though he did shake.
"By the Maker that was incredible!" Daveth praised aloud for the blonde to hear.
Turning around the blonde looked at the wide-eye shocked faces of Alistair and Sir Jory.
"This way, the tower is just up ahead" Naruto stated, not wanting to explain any further than he already had. Perhaps because they were still in shock after what he did not long ago, they followed him without saying a word. But Naruto knew he'd either have to deal with Alistair or Duncan later for this. That would be for another time though. Right now aside from the fatigue he felt, there was also the woman following them. While nothing could escape his sight once he set his eye upon it, he almost overlooked a Mage — who had been in the animal form of a wolf following them since their venture deep in the Korcari Wilds. As far as he seen people with magical abilities like the Mages from the Circle, they paled in power wise. Aside from that woman named Wynne.
The entire time in thought he had been staring at the brush in the woman's direction. The flow of energy was present, flowing out in waves but were pulsating differently once she felt his stare. She was wondering if she'd been discovered? Thoughts flowing on what to do Naruto gave a turn, walking towards the tower's direction. She would come to them an appear. Even if he was a little fatigued from his abilities, there wasn't much for him to worry over if she proved to be an enemy.

IT'S A WORK IN PROGRESS!
Like it or not Naruto is different, don't like it then why waste perfectly good minutes of your life! Naruto has shown three elements, Earth, Water and Lightning. The first two techniques, Earth Release: Rock Shelter and Water Release: Water Beast have no known Japanese names that were written in the Naruto Wiki and was left with only the English names. My only excuse to Naruto not being Overpower is that he has spent in seclusion avoiding much of the people in Thedas as possible and has lived in loathing because he is no longer in his world and has gotten lazy. Neglect training and it can do a lot to a person.
Naruto not only different techniques but also Kekkei genkai to which I gave hints to. If not, Byakugan is his first Kekkei genkai. I had thought to give Naruto Boruto's Dojutsu because it looks cool and it acts similar to a Byakugan only with a few more abilities to it. But anyway focusing on this. Naruto was infected by the Taint and the only reason he joined the Wardens was because he needed to save his own life and planned on leaving but he saw the Darkspawn and knew they were a threat. So he will join them, but to make a big thing clear on something is that Naruto's personality will be dark or grey depending on the situation.
A few things will be made clear in the next chapter depending on reviews so if you see potential then review and tell me what you think. I do not mind a bit of criticism so long as it is not FLAMES. YOU ALSO HAVE TO CHOSE THE PAIRING!
And out of the question but do you think I should try out a Naruto and Skyrim Crossover?
