Slowly open my eyes. Grass. Why is there grass? I blink and scramble up to my feet and look around. I'm in a forest. Still wearing my red scarf, black leather jacket and black dress.

I was walking home from my friend's 21st.

We celebrated, ate cake and had a blast. I had just said farewell to the birthday girl, Addy, when I walked out the door and straight into someone.

I mumble a sorry to the poor victim and continue walking until a hand reaches out and grasps my wrist, not letting me move any further.

"Are you Annwyth?" I turned around and came face to face with a white-bearded old man.

"Are you Annwyth?" He asked again, albeit more forcefully.

"Ah yes, well yes I am Annwyth. Why?" I feel my body fill with adrenalin. Fight or flight?

The man mutters a string of words that could be classified as gibberish. He holds his hand out and darkness consumes me.

I begin walking in any which direction. I check my pockets for my phone and come up empty. No phone. As much as that sucks, I doubt I would get any reception in the forest I'm currently trekking through.

According to the sun, I have been walking for at least 12 hours as the sun is beginning to rise, compared to when I arrived the sky had only just turned dark. I would guess it was four in the morning.

As I was exhausted, from staying awake for 24 hours, I decided to rest. Finding a tree suitable to sleep under, I sit down tucking my knees up against my chest. My auburn hair covering my body.

Sometime later I feel myself being shaken awake. I groggily open my eyes and come face to face with a dark haired stranger.

I gasped and tried to push myself away from the man but soon realised that it was useless as my back was against the tree.

"It's okay, it's okay. I'm not here to hurt you. I'm here to help." The strangely dressed man offered to help me up. "Are you okay? What happened? What are you wearing?"

As he was firing his questions at me, i started to tear up and cry, falling to the ground again as the shock of everything finally hit me.

"I don't even know where I am! Where am I? How did I get here?" I cried out to the stranger.

"I'm Merlin, I can help you. Are you hurt at all?" He asked. I shook my head, indicating I was not injured.

"Can I borrow your phone? Mine seems to have disappeared." I asked 'Merlin'.

"Phone? What is a phone my lady?"

"You know, phone, mobile, Nokia, Motorola, apple..." I trailed off after receiving a blank stare. "Okay, so maybe not. Where am I?"

"You are in the forest of Camelot."

"Camelot?!" I screeched. "Camelot doesn't exist, it's just a legend. You know the legend of King Arthur and the sorcerer Merlin? The lady Morgana and her former maid, now crowned queen on Camelot?"

"Arthur isn't the king, Uther is. I think I need to get you to Gaius." He took me by the arms and gently pulled me up. I was dazed and nearly tripped many times on the way to see said Giaus.

Once we finally arrived Merlin made me sit on the bed that sat in the room.

The door opened and an old man with white hair walked in, "Merlin, what do we have here. Who is this young lady?" He asked.

"I don't know her name," he stuttered. "I just found her in the forest, she seemed confused and lost."

Gaius walked over to me and asked what my name was. "Annwyth."
