"Wow Alec I need a chair!" Izzy exclaimed and Alec stood straight against the kitchen doorway. Pencil in hand, She climbed on a chair and marked his height. She called for the tape and Alec moved so she could measure.

"Happy birthday to you Alec. You're 6'1!" She proclaimed "you're taller than dad and you're only fifteen"

Alec smiled while Jace groaned. "I want to be six feet tall. How am I supposed to be intimidating at 5'10?"

"Jace you're intimidating enough as you are" Izzy teased "I don't think the world could handle six feet of you"

Alec patted Jace on the head. "Come on little man, I wanna eat some cake"

Jace punched him in the stomach.

"Alec, lets see how much you've grown" Izzy begged at on his 16th birthday as Jace entered the library.

"Aw Izzy. I'm not a kid anymore" Alec lazily protested from his living position on the couch. "And anyway Jace would get mad. He hasn't grown at all"

Standing in front of the couch, Jace scowled down at the cheeky grin on Alec's face.

"Come on" Izzy insisted, pulling Alec's long arm.

"Well you probably haven't grown either" Jace shoots back, immediately face palming internally. Of course that's only going to provoke the tall bastard. He knew Alec had grown over the past few months, for Jace had helplessly spectated as his eye level smoothly slid from Alec's mouth to the middle of his neck.

Yielding, Alec allowed Isabel to pull him to his feet, rising until he towered over Jace.

"Well we'll just see about that" he taunted.

Jace remained in the library while Alec led Isabel to the kitchen. After a few moments, Isabel called out

"Six foot four" and Jace swore.
