Okay, this is my first fanfic, probably not very good, and possibly never going to be updated. The name "The Cake Series" is because this was based on a series of macros made by myself. I didn't get past the "can't eat the cake" bit in the macros, however.
The Dresden Files does not belong to me, and if it did, I would not be unemployed.
I walk into the room, and sit in my chair. The curtain goes up, revealing fans as far as the eye can see. Which, considering the size of the room, isn't very many. About thirty or so.
In the front row, there is a group of girls screaming, "We Love Bob! We Love Bob!" You can even hear the capitals. When the curtain rises, they pause to say, "Hi Harry!" and go straight back to their chant. Today's generation is so strange.
"Hello," I say. Several girls in the third row faint, or pretend to. I ignore them. "My name is Harry Dresden, and I am going to bake a cake for my best bud Bob."
The girls in front gasp, and start whispering amongst themselves. Don't they know it's rude to talk while others are talking? Especially if the others are people who can fry their brains with magical powers.
"Now, Bob is a ghost so he can't eat the cake," I continue. "But I'm sure he'll appreciate the effort!" I add under my breath, "I hope."
One girl in the front raises her hand and asks, "Will we be seeing Bob today?" I glare at her and the group around her, who are looking at me with a strange sort of hope. I say no, and most of those in the front row and some in the back row slump down, as if all their dreams have done the opposite of coming true.
"Okay! Who has cake recipes?" I ask. They start muttering to each other. "Come on, the invitation did say that to come here, you were required to bring at least one with you!" Hmm. Judging from their expressions, they must have skipped that bit. Can't really see how. "Bring at LEAST one (1) cake recipe!" was written in really big letters on the invites.
Another girl from the front stands up. She has a bag with her. I really hope she doesn't have weapons in there. I would be very annoyed. Oh, it's a book! A recipe book, at that. Good girl!
Well, what did you think? Good, bad, average, don't-ever-write-first-person-ever-again? I would love to hear your opinions and what you think could happen next (if I hear anything I like, and am able to write properly, I may update this story)
