Heroes and Villains: The Company's Origins

Chapter 1: "Susan Amman"

Adam Monroe,

Armored Vehicle in Germany

Adam Monroe looked down at the old files as he drove down the road, heading for Pinehearst's Research Facility. The files contained data on every member of the Company he had formed. The first one he looked at was Susan Amman's file.

The blonde woman looked as beautiful as ever, but she had been long dead. She was Adam's first Founder kill. Susan Amman had the ability weather manipulation. Adam hadn't wanted to kill her, but she threatened to expose everything he stood for, plus, they had had a child together, something Adam wouldn't stand for. He sat in the armored vehicle remembering Susan.

Adam and Susan,

Hartsdale, NY 1973

Susan looked out the window as she spoke to Adam. "I don't think we can keep working together Adam. You have a wife; you can't be having children with me."

"Believe me Susan, I want anything but to have children with you. Children disgust me, and I've had 400 years to experience children. And I don't like them," said Adam, fiercely grabbing her.

He threw her up against the wall, and spit on her before saying, "How could you do this to us? You were beautiful. You can't have done this to me. To me! Adam Monroe."

"I didn't do anything. You're the one who went to far," she replied, getting heated. Adam watched as she tapped into her ability.

Susan stood there, her eyes turning white, as she said, "You need to stay away from me, and our child. You are not coming near him or me ever again." As she yelled this, lightening came down through the ceiling and hit Adam, spreading through his body.

Adam quickly recovered and pulled out a gun, aiming it at Susan's forehead. He fired, and the bullet came towards her, but she blocked it with gale force winds.

At the same time, she pretended to have been hit, and lost control of her powers. Adam yelled to her, "What are you doing!?" as he was picked up off his feet.

Susan just screamed as if in serious pain, and fell over, letting the wind die out. Adam was flung into a light, and broke the glass, knocking him out. Susan got up and left the room, and ran into Kaito.

She informed him of the situation, and told him that she was no longer with the Company and was going into hiding. Kaito respected her wishes, and never told Adam she and his child were alive.

Susan Amman,

Hartsdale, NY

Susan walked down the rainy streets of Hartsdale, heading towards the Company facility. She was not sure what would happen, but she had heard that Adam was caught, and felt she need fear no more.

The rain began to slow down, as passers by saw Susan's eyes turn white. She stopped the weather with her happiness that her son could live openly again, as she returned to the Company.
