Medusa
That her beauty did so enrapture
A God's heart she did capture.
Struck down in her patrons temple
The snakes would break her heart.
She would look upon a man and her gaze would kill.
She fled the city, to an island alone
An island of stone.
She went mad
Her isolation
Would
Turn
Her
Heart
To
Stone.
A boy appears.
In his shield her face mirrors.
His blade cuts
Severing
Tearing.
The flesh and muscle and sinews detach
And with it
She
Is
Set
Free
That her beauty did so enrapture
