I'll never forget the first day we met, even if you did, Amane Misa. You were so little, and I suppose I was too, but I still remember perfectly.
I was ten, you were five. Your father brought you to work one day and my mother did the same. I got to miss school to go. Do you remember?
"Misa-chan, this is my boss," Your father said. You were clutching his hand for dear life, obviously terrified. "And this her son."
"His name's Lucas," My mother had told you. "Lucas Lawliet." I had waved at you. You blushed a little and smiled at me.
"I'm Misa-Misa." You whispered. My mother left me to play with you while they worked. We had a lot of fun, and that was when you started calling me L. Well, L-chan, but that didn't matter much.
So when I found out you were dating Yagami Raito, I felt sick. For someone as innocent as you to be dating such a monster. Kira. Then I knew I had to do my job and arrest you. It made me feel even worse when we first met and you didn't remember me at all.
And as I lay here dying on the floor, I know you won't remember me until you die and I meet you in that special place where users of the Death Note go. Goodbye Misa. I'll see you.
