Run Away

Stormy night,
brings fright.

Darkness everywhere,
no one with care.

Slowly turning,
stomach churning.

Not again, go away!
Not again, don't stay!

Dark figure,
like a tiger.

Silently, carefully to the bed,
hoping, wanting to be fed.

Same routine every night,
hoping to just take flight.

No one stops it,
just getting hit.

This isn't fun,
I'll just run.

Run away, to the streets,
Run away, no more feats.

Scared for life,
too much strife.

Where's the aid?
Need to get paid.

Back to the nightmare,
life's not fair!

Run away, don't get caught,
Remember what you were taught.

A new friend,
a bitter end.

Caught again,
time to mend.

A new place,
a new face.

No more nightmares,
someone cares.

Finally.
