The Battle Frontier Chronicles. Document 1:

Daniel Koven.

The luxurious cruise ship drifted through the smooth waves of the Kanto Sea. It's siren like horn pierced the relative quiet of the morning as it's destination appeared on the horizon.

Daniel Woke up with a start as the air horns sound bleated through the early morning silence. The intercom in his room beeped once, and the Captains voice spoke. "We will be arriving to our location in twenty minutes, prepare yourselves for landing on the Taurus Islands. Thank you all for sailing with the now fully restored S.S. Libra!."

Daniel grumbled and got up out of bed. He barely got any sleep, mainly due to the idiot next door. They kept playing their idiotic music all night, whatever it was Daniel couldn't tell, he just knew it pissed him off.

He stretched and yawned, cricking his back a little. Smacking his lips and blinking away his exhaustion, He walked over to his black backpack, and pulled out a pair of black cargo jeans, a white T-shirt, and a black overcoat. He slipped them on and checked the clock. It was 5 in the morning! Mumbling curses Daniel slipped his belt on and clipped his five poke balls onto it. He ran his hands along them and stopped at the last capsule, an Ultra Ball.

A small smile crossed his face. 'We've been through a lot together girl. First the gyms, now here!..' He thought, pocketing the small ball.

Daniel gathered his belongings and stepped out of his room. He stood tall and proud, glaring at the approaching islands with determination.

...At least until his neighbor opened their door and blared their music once more. Daniel grimaced and glanced to the side of him. His neighbor was a girl near his height and age, wore a black loose fitting shirt, with red lining on the sides, black chain pants, and combat boots. Looked to be steel toed.

The blaring music was coming from her large pair of skull shaped head phones. They sounded like a damned stereo!

'Hmph, emo chick.' Daniel thought dismissively. He turned his head back to the approaching island, while the girl stood somewhat beside him.

"So, those are the islands?" She asked a bit loudly. She sounded extremely excited. 'And Well rested', Daniel thought with a frown.

"Yeah, sure." Daniel responded not really listening. He could feel the pokemon in his poke balls twitching in excitement. They could feel the powerful opponents around them, and knew that there would be even more when they landed.

Felicia Hunt:

She stepped out of her room, turning down her music slightly. She saw her neighbor had already come out to welcome the day. She gave him a smile, and stood next to him, watching the island get ever closer. "So those are the islands?" She asked over her music.

"Yeah, sure." He said with a note of annoyance, however she hardly took notice. She turned her attention back to the islands. There were five all together, connected by stone bridges, each with different facilities.

She turned to her neighbor. "So uh, whats your name?" She asked. He glanced over and said, "Daniel.", and turned back around.

'Guess that's all he wrote.' She thought as she turned away. She smiled as she took out her invitation. It read in big bold letters, "YOUR INVITED TO THE NEW KANTO FRONTIER!" She had won it in a tournament back in Castelia, one she had just barely won. She pocketed it and started to make her way to the landing deck of the ship. She slipped on her headphones, and continued to listen to Disturbed. She hummed to the tune, slowly banging her head as her boots made loud booms as she walked.

Felicia was so caught up in her music, she didn't notice the girl stepping out of her room, and collided into her! They both fell over.

"Agh...Oh! I'm so sorry!" Felicia shouted embarrassed "I didn't see where I was going!". The girl she had walked into was dressed in standard clothes, blue jeans and a red shirt, but she just gave Felicia a warm smile. "Aw, it's alright. Accidents happen." she said in a thick country voice.

Felicia helped her up and stuttered out another apology. "Please, nothings hurt, so no need to apologize." She said chuckling. "I'm Michelle," She said offering a hand.

Felicia shook Michelle's hand and returned the smile. "I'm Felicia."

Michelle glanced over to the islands, "Y'all ready for the Islands?" She said, still smiling. Felicia nodded.

Michelle Vargo:

Michelle stared at the islands smiling, she was ready for this. She had trained as hard as she could, and was determined to take down anyone she went up against. She turned her attention back to the girl with the weird headphones, and tried her best not to flinch from the loud noise coming from them.

"Y'all ready for the Islands?" Michelle asked, and received a nod from the shorter girl. "Let's head out together, we should be stoppin any minute now." Michelle suggested.

Felicia and Michelle walked together, shouldering past several other competitors just as jittery and excited as them. The ship had ported, and now was just waiting for everyone to get ready and get off. Michelle did her best not to shake with excitement, and reached for her necklace which held a small safari ball on it. She gave the capsule a small squeeze and gulped nervously.

Michelle nodded to Felicia as they waited, "So, what kinda Pokemon did y'a bring?" She asked curiously.

Felicia pulled out a lunar ball, "This is my Umbreon, she was my first pokemon I ever got." Michelle smiled and pointed to the safari ball on her neck. "I caught this Tauros over in the safari zone 'fore I left the farm."

Michelle heard a small snort behind her. She glanced back and saw a guy dressed in a black trench coat leaning against a wall. "Got anything to say, Boy?" Michelle said with an edge in her voice.
The man gave her and Felicia a smirk and shook his head. "Naw, just thought of a funny joke. Couldn't help but laugh." Michelle and Felicia fixed him with a hard stare, and Felicia asked "What was the joke?"

The mans smirked widened. "It's just that, your using a freshly caught Pokemon? Seriously? You're not going to last long here." He said snidely.

Leo Nernon:

Leo smirked at the two fuming girls in front of him. 'And to think, I thought the people here would be boring.' He thought with a chuckle. His smirk widened and he responded with a snide, "It's just that, your using a freshly caught Pokemon? Seriously? You're not going to last long here."

The cow girl's stare become a severe glare. "Big talk from some city punk, why not put your money where your mouth is?!" She snarled pulling out a weathered Poke ball. Leo grinned and slipped out an ultra ball. "Sure you wanna do that? Don't wanna harm a weakling." Leo said with a low chuckle.

Both girls were glaring at him, pulling out a poke ball.

However, before an all out brawl could break out, someone stepped between the three. "As much as i'd like to see a battle, don't do it in this cramped space." He said with a glare at the three of them.

Leo inspected the young man before him. Seemed seasoned as a trainer, his poke balls had a good amount of wear and tear on them. Maybe he could give a decent challenge...

"Oh! Hey Daniel!" Felicia said smiling happily at the new comer. Daniel simply nodded to the girl and fixed Leo with an annoyed stare. "Wait until were all outside, then battle. People could get really hurt in this cramped space." Many of the other passengers had started watching the scuffle going on.

Michelle slowly put her poke ball away and sighed. "Y'all are right. It'd be irresponsible."

Leo frowned, hoping to have some more fun. "You seem so sure of yourself, maybe you'd make a better challenge than the hick and emo over here." Leo said, his grin returning.

Daniel fixed him with a withering glare. "How about this, smart guy. Why not we have a four way battle once we get of of here." Daniel said crossing his arms.

Murmurs of excitement ran through the crowd, and jeers and cheers of agreement rang out.

Michelle and Felicia both nodded, still glaring at Leo. Leo simply smirked, and said, "Fine, your funeral."

The four trainers made their way to the entrance, all clutching a poke ball. The crowd was itching to see a battle, and started taking bets. However, none looked more interested than a man at the back, wearing a Hawaiian shirt and khaki shorts.

The entrance opened, light filtering in. The four trainers all started to step forward, determined to beat the other.
