Hey! Sorry I haven't updated In The Now in a while. But, here's a Urlene fic! I feel like those two don't get a lot of really meaty fanfiction written just for them. So, here we go! This is basically my life, but with Divergent characters.
So, there is a bit of a weird thing. But I have to use certain characters for certain things. So, Christina isn't really gonna be Mar's friend for long. Sorry! And if you want Fourtris, you're gonna have to wait until 5th grade! :) And also, Uriah's a bit more serious in this. And finally...I'm sorry, don't kill me...but Zeke can't be in this. LIke at all. Cuz in real life, my guy doesn't have a brudda. Sorry!
DISCLAIMER: I DON'T OWN THE DIVERGENT TRILOGY! THANK YOU FOR READING MY STORY!
"Mar," Will snaps his fingers in front of my face. "Huh?" I ask dumbly. "I said…" He starts off on a rant about something but I really don't care. I can only think about what Lynn said to me the other day.
My name is Marlene Callahan. I don't know how to explain this at all, but here it goes.
Here goes the story of my life.
It all started in fourth grade, when my friend Lauren was sitting next to me at lunch on the first day of school. I was looking over at my friend Rita's table, and there were a few new kids there. Rita used to go to a school in preschool, kindergarten, and first grade called Maplebank. People still go there that she probably knows.
Anyway, one of the newbies was a kid in my class named Will, who was blonde-haired and green-eyed. He was very smart, but of course I was probably smarter. I don't mean to brag or anything, but now that I'm in fourth grade, I have the highest student reading level in the whole school. But the boy sitting next to him was someone I didn't see before, even though we were introduced to the the other students in our team. A team is made up of a bunch of classes. Anyway, he had warm brown eyes and light brown skin and a nice smile. It's warm and charming and It looks pretty genuine.
Lauren looks over at me staring at them. "What's up?" She asks. "Nothin'." I respond. She just shrugs and turns to Christina, one of my other friends.
But I know that it isn't just 'nothing'. It's something, all right.
And when I look back on it, I probably can't help falling in love with him. I don't know.
But, I wouldn't regret any of it. Well, maybe some.
Sigh. Story of my life.
