Once and Now
The moon shines in the night, bringing light to the dark. It's so beautiful, so luminous, so haunting. People can't help but wonder about it; they want to touch it, catch it, keep it. But it's so far away, too far away.
Untouchable.
Once the moon was close, so close it was blinding, parallel to the sun. Once, they could see the sliver that framed it, the blue that colored it. Once, it wanted to feel. Once, it was so close it loved.
Unreachable.
But 'once' had came and gone; love had came and gone. All that was left was 'now' and the pain that lingered. Now, the moon is far--far, far away. Because no matter how hard it tried, and tried, and tried, it couldn't bring back the past. It couldn't turn back time.
Unbreakable.
They say the moon is cold, unbearably so. If asked, the moon will not disagree, because if it is cold, people will not want it anymore. And if it is not wanted, it will forget to want. And if it does not want, it will not feel pain.

Just a short little thing that could be interpreted any way you wanted. I wrote this with Yue in mind and it's set many many years after the characters in CCS died.
