Nightstalkers[[

It was all over, they had found a cure and they were going to administer it all over the world. They knew it wasn't going to be easy, but it had to be done. They had left the city and were now heading toward a safe house out in the country. Night was falling and they needed cover because there were still plenty more vampires out there searching for blood. The sun was almost gone when Ed, Audrey, and Lionel reached their destination. They hurried inside and set up for the night. "That was one hell of a party," Lionel said as they sat down.

"Well we certainly have our work cut out for us," Ed replied.

"How are we going to administer the cure to the rest of the population?" Audrey asked. "There are millions of vampires all over the United States, and billions across the world. It seems to be an impossible task."

"Nothing is impossible," Lionel smirked, "You should realize that by now." Ed walked over to the window and looked out. He watched the stars, thinking about everything that had just happened. He still couldn't believe that he was once again human. As he watched a cloud pass by overhead, he felt a soft, gentle touch on his shoulder, and turned to find Audrey standing there.

"What are you thinking about?" she asked him with a smile.

"Everything that has happened," he replied, "I'm still trying to take it all in." Ed looked back out the window and sighed.

"You're thinking about your brother now, aren't you?"

"He died helping us, and I feel guilty. He didn't have to…" Ed trailed off. He stared out the window. He thought he saw a shadow moving outside… He was just about to say something to Audrey when he say I figure emerging from the fog. "Get downstairs."

"What?" Lionel shouted.

"We have been found, and we need to hide. NOW!" Lionel grabbed his crossbow and opened the hatch door leading to the hidden basement. Ed and Audrey jumped down through the whole and opened the water pipe. Lionel climbed down and closed the door. The basement filled with water up to their shoulders. They could hear footsteps above them. Even though the water masked their scent and the door was locked, Lionel held his cross bow at the opening, they weren't taking any chances. They heard voices talking above them and they remained silent and listened…

"I though you said you smelled humans," Adam growled.

"I did smell them, and I saw one standing at that window," Tarryn replied, "They must have seen us and ran off."

"Well find them again, I'm hungry!" Ryan yelled.

"Wait a second…" Tarryn stopped walking around, "I smell something…" Ed, Audrey and Lionel froze where they stood and didn't make a sound. They dared not even breathe.

"Well, do you smell them?" Adam said.
