WOOHOO! My first ever fanfiction! Hopefully ill be active and I would like to focus my stories around The Sonic The Hedgehog series. DISCLAIMER: I DONT OWN ANY OF THE SONIC CHARACTERS THEY ALL BELONG TO THE SONIC TEAM AND SEGA. Alright then lets get started! Please leave reviews so I can improve my writing. SONIC POV:

Ahhhh... Its been a while since I've had a relaxing day like this, well spent with my best buddy or should I say brother Tails. Honestly I dont always express my feelings towards someone but I'm pretty sure Tails knows how much he means to me. I found him one day back when I used to be a loner. Poor guy, the kid was emotionally and physically tortured day in and day out by a couple of bullies due to the fact that he had 2 tails. If anything I thought that was wicked awesome! However those jerks thought that it would be cool if they teased him with no remorse. When I first met Tails I noticed his problem and solved it pretty quick if you know what I mean. Lets just say those bullies wont be showing their faces to Tails anytime soon. Ever since then we became best buds and eventually started living together. We grew extremelly close over the years and now we pretty much consider ourselves brothers. Well back to what I was saying, its been a while since I've sat back and relaxed with Tails. We decided to relax at the beach for a while and we had a good time.

"Bet I could beat you back home on foot while you ride the Tornado!" I said as I winked at him.

"Oh youre on!" He said as he ran to the Tornado and started the engines.

I took off and was headed towards the Mystic Ruins to reach Tails' workshop. Thats also the place we lived at. I noticed that I lost sight of Tails and realized I was way ahead of him . I chuckled and pictured how shocked he would be when he would finally get there. As I was nearing the workshop I was in for quite the surprise. Before I reached the front of the house I noticed that a bunch of Eggmans robots were waiting at the doorstep. As I looked to the right I realized a huge egg-bot right beside them with Eggman inside.

"Ugh, not again"

As I narrowed in I hear a rumbling noise. Tails finally arrived.

"Sonic! How did you beat me? You must of che-"

Tails stopped midway as he realized what was going on.

"Lets just finish this quick, and then go out for some chili dogs!" I said excidedly now craving for the delicous meal. I was now in a good mood and I decided to have some fun.

"Here I come Egg Head!" I ran up to one of the robots and destroyed quickly with a spindash. As I realized how easy this was gonna be I decided to have some fun. I started to run around the robots in circles and circles , sticking my tounge out purposely getting them angry. I continued on with my taunting and continued to enjoy myself.

"Uhh Sonic" Tails said in a nervous voice.

I just ignored him continuing to enjoy myself while making Eggmans robots look silly. It probably wasnt important so I continued on.

"Sonic..."

I ignored him once again proceeding to destory and humiliate more of Eggmans robots.

"SONIC!"

Now I knew something was wrong. I turned around to see what Tails was yelling for and my heart dropped. Eggmans huge eggbot had his canon out and it was fully charged, and worst of all it was heading towards Tails in the Tornado!

" Tails watch out-" It was too late. Eggman fired the beam and it hit the right wing of the Tornado. It caught on fire and started loosing altitude. It got lower and lower until it finally crashed and hit the rocky shore.

My heart froze.

"That'll teach you to keep your ego to yourself you stupid hedgehog!" Eggman said as he retreated out of the workshop.

I stood there for a moment realizing what I've just done. Then I sped down to the shore to see the Tornado engulfed in flames with Tails inside the cockpit.

"TAILS NOOOOOO!" I screamed and bolted towards the fire. I ran on top of the cock pit ignoring the pain of the flames as they quickly started to burn my body. I tried opening the cock pit but it was jammed shut. I realized there was nothing else to do but punch through the glass and pull Tails out. As I reached my hands in I grabbed his scruff, pulled him out and escaped the fire.I set him down gently as tears flowed down my eyes . I put my ear close to his heart.

My heart stopped.

No heart beat.

No movement.

Nothing.

" NOOOOOOOOOO TAILS! THIS IS ALL MY FAULT! " I screamed. Now the tears were just flowing down my eyes like a faucet. I layyed my head on his chest and proceded to cry and cry even more. As if a miracle was bestowed upon me I heard a slight hump from Tails chest.

"Theres still hope..." I realized my opprotunity and held up Tails and ran towards Station Square to the hospital. I rammed past the door and started yelling out for help. I realized what condition Tails was in and it was fatal. He had extreme burns across his body making his yellow fur turn a solid black. I also realized that his leg was in a crooked position and it was definently broken. The doctors rushed past me and took Tails on a stretcher and sped away into the ER.

"Will he be okay!?"

One of the doctors walked up to me with concern in his eyes. " Sir, your friend is in a very fatal condition, but well do the best we can. You should probably tend to your wounds as well.

I looked at my arm and realized that I had some burns here and there but I didnt care. I shook my head "No, just please worry about Tails." More tears began to roll from my eyes and they wouldnt stop. The doctor looked at me with concern then walked away.

I couldve sworn I was in there for hours. I am usually an impatient kind of guy but I knew that it was all my fault. If I wouldve listened to Tails earlier then I we wouldnt be in this mess! How stupid could I possibly be! If I wasnt so stupid then Tails wouldnt have to be fighting for his life right now!

The moment that Ive been waiting for so long as finally come: The door from the operation room finally opened. The same doctor that consulted me earlier came back.

" How-w is-s he-e-e doc?" At this point I was shaking. I wasnt sure if I wanted to know the truth or not.

"He's fine. However he does have some serious burns that need to be treated to. His leg is also broken but it'll heal in a couple weeks. He's a lucky guy, this operation couldve gone either way my friend. He can go back home today as well."

Relief flooded through me from head to toe. "Can I go in and see him doc?"

"Ofcourse! Go right in."

I nervously opened to door and saw Tails in a hospital bed with bandages all over including a cast on his left leg.

"T-tails..?"

"..."

No response. He was still unconsious. I broke down and proceeded to cry over and over. I loved Tails more than anyone else on this planet. If Tails was to go today from the carelessness of my self... well I dont know what I wouldve done.

"...S-Sonic?"

I got up and bolted to the bed. " Tails! Ar-are alright? How are you feeling? ... Im so sorry. Please forgive me..." The tears just kept pouring through and I couldnt stop them.

"This is all my fault! I was so stu-"

He cut me off, "Sonic!" He sounded angry and I wouldnt blame him. However he wasnt mad at me for what I did to him. He was angry at how I was takin this situation.

" Sonic you are the strongest, fastest, and kindest person I've ever met. You were the only one that took me in when nobody else would! You cared for me, protected me, fed me, loved me when nobody else would!" Now I could see Tails beggining to cry as he remembered his painful past. " I was never accepted by anyone out here and they all hated me and they all treated me as if I was a monster! But then I met you. You...y- you were differernt. You didnt care about what anyone said! You didnt listen to anything they said! You loved me for who I was!" He paused for a moment... " ...and for that I owe you everything Sonic. I- I love you..." He proceded to cry almost just as bad as me. I wrapped my arms around him tightly and we just sat there for a while.

"I love you too Tails... C'mon lets get you home. I still owe you those chili dogs you know" I said with a smile on my face.

He chuckled then got out of the hospital bed as he climbed onto my back and I ran back home.

"Tails..."

"Yes Sonic?"

"I love you bro, more than anything in this world."

"I love you too Sonic... Same here." He said with a smile across his face.
