She hoped that when the prefect meeting concluded, she would have enough time to run back to the Head dorms and hide. She had been avoiding Ron for two weeks now - ever since McGonagall announced the Yule Ball - and he still hadn't taken that as an obvious rejection.
Unfortunately, today, she had no such luck.
"Hermione," Ron whined, grabbing a hold of her arm.
"I said no, Ronald," she grumbled.
"Why the bloody hell not?"
Before she could respond, the Slytherin Head boy pulled her into his arms and snogged her senseless. "That's why, Weasel," he drawled, before stalking off.
