AN: So it's been about a year or so since I wrote my last fanfiction. This is my first in the Sanctuary fandom and I wrote it in about 20 minutes between studying so not betaed or anything all mistakes are mine and I still love it any way. Enjoy.
Nikola Tesla will never betray Helen Magnus. It is not in his bean or his constitution. He may do things that Helen does not approve, experimenting on human or planning world domination, but he will never betray her. She has been the one constant in his life and he would never do anything that could take her away from him. He plays at not caring for another living thing but he always comes threw for Magnus when she needs him. He can never let her know what she means to him. She can never know that his heart only belongs to her.
She can never know these things because he knows it would break Helen's heart. She has already loved two of the five and he knows her heart could not take another old friend taking a peace. So Nikola will never betray Helen. That is how he shows his lover for her. That is how he shows he cares.
With Nikola appearances are always deceiving. He may seem like is his only looking out for himself but there is always room in his schemes for Helen. He always has a place for her to either join him or stop him. He know that latter will always happen and then they will fall into the usual pattern that will sooth his wounded heart form being separated from her for so long.
He wonders if one day she will turn the Sanctuary rains over to someone, maybe her new lap dog, and wander or just louse herself in her eternal life. He wonders if that were to happen if she would join him. Just once and he cold pretend for a little while that she is his and will be forever. That is always his secret hope when he asks her to join him.
Nikola will always be there for Helen. When she calls he will come. It has always been this way. He could always feel when she needed someone; he thinks it's because of the source blood. But whenever he felt the pull of her need he would show up unannounced, insult her team, raid her wine cellar, and help save the day. When he had the feeling he would let whatever experiment he was running get out of hand so she would discover it, make him stop, than her would follow her home for the pretense of the wine and annoying her.
Nikola thought Helen knew this. He thought she knew that no matter what happened between them he would never betray her. He was shocked to find her in his Area 51 bunker and he was even more shocked that she accused him of betraying her. He thought she knew him better. He was trying to protect these abnormals as best he could. He may have had some personal gains but he would never betray her, he never thought he would have to prove it. When she was original supposed to leave he was not going to give her any information, he felt betrayed by her, but when she left he knew that she had to understand. That's why he put the information on Henry's tablet. She had to know Nikola Tesla will never betray Helen Magnus.
