Turning
In turning, all I see is dust,
Ashes of my broken dreams-
A future burned beyond repair
With evil bursting at its seams.
Shattered fragments of my soul
Lie 'twist the smold'ring keep,
I turn and turn but all I see is
Her fade into eternal sleep.
Running, stumbling, I will not fall again!
A dark and lonely path I tread
To reach my last surviving dream.
Now that you're gone, my heart is dead.
Everywhere I turn, I see
Neglected ghosts of former dreams,
Glist'ning ashes of tears unshed,
Your light fading from my memories.
