That day, I woke up really early. Of course, I was excited,Ihardly slept at all! Iquickly got ready and I went downstairs to meet my mom.
"Hi, mom!" I said "Today's the day!"
"You're up so early. It's not even seven yet."
"Of course! I'm gonna get my firstPokemon! 'Aint that great? Now I'm going to show the world what I'm here for!"
"Uh-huh. So have you decided which Pokemon you're going to choose?"
I paused for a moment. I can't beleive I forgotabout that! Imagine, being so excited about my first Pokemon and I forgot completely who my partner's gonna be!
"Umm...Not yet. They're all so cute!" I answered dumbly. What a lame excuse!
"Thought so. Anyway, finish your breakfast before May gets here."
"Oops! Sorry, mom!"
That being said, mom gave my breakfast. Hot chocolate, eggs, sausages anda toast of bread, typical English breakfast. I was just about to finish when the doorbell rang and ...
"May!"
"I'llget it. You go finish your breakfast."
"Thanks, mom!"
"Mornin' Ms. Berlitz!"
"Good morning, May. Come in. Dawn's inside."
"Thanks..."
"Hey, May!"
"Dawn, I see you just finished your breakfast."
"Yup! Now I'm ready to go!"
May let out a little laugh. What's so funny?
"What's so funny?" I asked dumbly "You!" the brunette replied, still laughing.
"Me?"
"Yeah, you!"
"Why?"
"Oh nothing..."
"Hmmph." I replied with my arms crossed. What's so funny?
"Anyway, let's go before we lose ourPokemon"
"Fine..."
Along the road, I kept thinking who my partner's gonna be. Damn, oh well. It'seither anyone of them.
"Why are you so quiet?"
"Oh, you noticed?"
"You usually talk a lot. So what's on your mind right now?"
"I was just thinking who my partner's gonna be. That'sall! What about you?"
"I decided I'm gonna get aTurtwig!"
"Guess Turtwig's out of my list..."
"Well, here we are!"
"Oh boy! I'm finally going to get myfirst Pokemon!"
As we went inside, we were greeted by one ofthe professor's Aids.
"Ladies, come inside!"
"Thanks" we both replied.
"You must be May and Dawn."
"That's right." May replied.
"It's a good thing you didn't get loston the way this way."
As we followed the Aid, I was amazed upon seeing all those invention stuff.
"Umm...excuse me?" I asked. "What Pokemon are still available?"
"It's sad to say the Chimchar's already gone. The only two leftare Turtwig and Piplup." he answered
"Yes! I still get my Turtwig!" May shouted joyfully.
"Guess that leaves me with Piplup, right?" I frowned.
"Right! Dawn, aren't you so excited?"
"Yeah...I guess I am." I replied "You okay, Dawn?"
"Uhh...Yeah! Of course I am! I'm gonna get my first Pokemon!
"That's the spirit!"
"Professor, I'd like you to meet -"
"Dawn and May."
"Right. If you'll excuse me,I have to work with something. Bye for now!"
"Thank you,Sam. Good morning, girls. I'm Professor Rowan. Ready to get your first Pokemon?"
"Yeah!" We replied at the same time.
"Here are your Pokeballs. This one is a Turtwig andthis one is a Piplup."
I can't beleive it! My first Pokemon!
"Okay, Piplup!" I said. " Come on -"
"HELP!"
I was just about to open my Pokeball when we heard aloud shriek calling for help. Who could that be?
