Chapter 1: The Legendary Battle
The battle was over, the Shikon Jewel complete and in a sanctuary. Kagome looked out the window of her home; knowing the Bone Eater's well was sealed by her grandpa, and was unusable. The true reason she was sad was because every one of the gang was slain except for Shippou. Naraku saw that Sesshoumaru could have resurrected the dead with Tensaiga, so he was first to go. It was easy picking, then. Kagome and Shippou took the shards, draining all his power. Kagome picked up Tetsaiga and swung it once, slaying Naraku. She left the two legendary blades in Kaede's care, as well as the jewel.
Shippou was the only other survivor, but incapable of using the portal. Kagome turned to Buyo and as she sat petting him, was thinking of the memories of their journey.
