Prologue

"Who will it be?" asked Kagome "Me or Kikyo?"

Inu-Yasha stood between the two of the maidens, they finally asked him to choose, but he was unable. Sweat spouted off Inu-Yasha's face.

But in the bushes lay a wolf-demon man called Tashimo. He was tired of Inu-Yasha's foolishness. If he can't make the right descision, Tashimo thought, I'll make it for him.

"Die Kikyo!" Tashimo's sword swept through the air, leaving a deep gash in Kikyo's side.

The three of them were dumbfounded. Tashimo, the kind grey wolf, murdering Kikyo, why?

After the long silence in which Inu-Yasha gathered his thoughts, he found his voice again.

"Why?" was all he managed to get out.

Tashimo sadly wiped blood from his sword, and sighed "If you have to ask, you're not ready to know yet."

Inu-Yasha abandoned his duscussion with Tashimo and knelt over Kikyo.

"Inu-Yasha." Kikyo spoke with her last breath "If you ever loved me, you must kill that sage."

Inu-Yasha was ready to fullfill Kikyo's request, but when he looked up the sage was gone.

Tears filled Inu-Yasha's eyes "Where is he? I'll kill him!"

Inu-Yasha didn't stop to think, but he knew there must be a reason. Tashimo was of good nature, he would never kill anyone.

Tashimo ran as fast as he could to the village. He stopped to catch his breath, then sat down and put his head in his hands. 2 of his friends, Ryoshu the fox demon, and Inu-Yasi the hanyou (Inu-Yasha's little sister), saw him and ran over to him.

"Hi Tashimo!" Inu-Yasi exclaimed, but then she noticed the look on his face "What's wrong?"

There was a moment of silence as Tashimo's sorry blue eyes looked up at them.

"Oh my god." Ryoshu gasped "You did it didn't you?"

Tashimo nodded "I had to."

Inu-Yasi immeadiatly understood "About time she kicked the bucket." she commented.

"Inu-Yasi!" Ryoshu scolded "How can you make wisecracks at a time like this?"

Inu-Yasi noticed they were both very upset "Ah come on! Tashimo, you did what you had to do! You can't make an omelet without cracking a few eggs!"

Tashimo ignored her "I'm gonna have to take off for a while, Inu-Yasha's gonna be hunting me down."

"Well, you do what you gotta do." said Ryoshu.

"Thanks." Tashimo gave them both quick hugs "I will be back soon."

And with that, he walked off into the sunset.
