Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon it belongs to the rightful owners. The only thing I own in story is Anna.

Ten year old Anna sits on the beach, waves moving over her bare feet. Her partner Eevee sits on her lap, looking out to sea. Anna rolls her eyes seeing her twin brother speeding past her – obviously he'd decided to race Pikachu, his partner. She notices a small feline Pokemon on the beach, right in Ash's path. Before she can attempt a rescue, her brother has stepped on its tail and received an Ember attack to the face.
"You should be more careful." Anna scolds him. He just groans from the ground.

Soon afterwards, the twins decide to meet up with their mother and Mr Mime, known affectionately by their mom as Mimey.
"Hey Mom, we're back!" Ash yells. Their mother sits up from her deckchair, smiling at her children.
"I hope you both had fun."
"Sure did! We went diving with the Sharpedo, saw lots of Pokemon I've never seen before! Yeah!" Ash dances around as he tells her. Anna giggles at her brother's theatrics.
"I had fun sunbathing with Eevee." Anna adds.

Delia smiles. She knows that her children are different personality wise even if they are similar appearance wise. Both have black hair, though Ash's is short and spiked while Anna's is long and straight, reaching to her waist. Both are in their swimming outfits, a pair of black trunks for Ash and a orange and white striped costume for Anna. But when it comes to personality, Ash has always been more adventurous and a risk taker while Anna is more quiet.

"That does sound like fun." Their mom smiles warmly. "We have Mimey to thank for winning the tickets. So, shall we change and get going?"
"Where to, Mom?" Ash sounds confused.
"To see Professor Oak's cousin, remember?" Anna tells him with a roll of her eyes.

Delia, Mimey and Ash (back in his usual outfit) ride in a Tauros taxi to the Pokemon school. Anna prefers riding her own Tauros. She's changed into a light blue shirt with white pants and sneakers.
"Here in the Alola region, we use the power of Pokemon to go everywhere and anywhere. We refer to these Pokemon as Ride Pokemon." the taxi driver tells the trio.

They decide to stop at the market so Delia can buy some berries as gifts. Anna carries Eevee in her arms as she looks around, Eevee sniffing the variety of berries.
"Smell good?" Anna laughs. She buys a small bag full of Wepear Berries, which are Eevee's favourite berry.

Once they've bought everything they want, Anna and her mother head to the Pokemon school. Ash disappeared during the shopping trip, but both know he'll turn up again.

They are interrupted in the principals' office by a knock on the door. Mimey opens the door, and they see Ash stood outside with a girl.
"Ash! You finally made it." Delia smiles, stepping out of the office with Anna.
"It's my mom and sister!" Ash is surprised to see them here.
"Alola, Ash." Principal Oak waves. "Welcome to the Pokemon school, home of Solrock and roll."
"He does that a lot." Anna whispers to her brother.
"Professor Oak, what are you doing here?" Ash asks, earning a laugh from the principal, who quickly explains that he isn't Professor Oak they just look very similar.

Once inside the office, Ash tells everyone about his adventures while Mimey, Bounsweet, Pikachu and Eevee all play together. Anna finds out that the girl's name is Mallow, and that she originally thought Ash is a new student. Once that is cleared up, Principal Oak rings his cousin to let him know the egg has arrived safely.

"Principal Oak, sir, may I show Ash around the campus?" Mallow asks after the phone call.
"I'd like to see it too." Anna joins them as they view the classroom. Eevee runs around the room, exploring every nook and cranny while the girls laugh. Ash is busy staring at the view out of the window and enjoying the breeze.

"Hi. A big Alola to you all." a man in a lab coat enters the room.
"Who is he?" Anna looks from him to Mallow.
"Professor Kukui. He's our teacher." the green haired girl explains. "Professor. I'd like you to meet Ash and Anna."
"Principal Oak just filled me in. Hi Ash, Pikachu. Anna." Eevee then runs over to the Professor, who gently picks her up. "Hello, Eevee." He gently pets her ears, and Eevee practically beams with joy.

A roar out of the window startles the group. They look out of the window and see a small gang approaching a boy and his Charizard. Anna takes Eevee from the Professor, and the twins run down to the gates.
"Three against one isn't fair!" Anna yells at the gang as they bring out their Pokemon. She runs to the boy's side, with Ash right behind her.
"Stop it!" Ash yells at the same time. Ash skids to a stop next to the boy, with Anna stopping beside him. "Your cowards, ganging up like this."
"Yeah, and I hate cowards!" Anna shouts in agreement.
"What are you going to do about it?" the leader asks.
"We'll fight too. You ready?" Ash asks the boy, who introduces himself as Kiawe. He reluctantly allows them to fight with him, sending out his Turtonator. Ash sends out Pikachu, while Anna decides to battle with Eevee.
"Pikachu, Quick Attack!"
"You too, Eevee!" Anna yells. Both Pokemon race at their targets, Pikachu easily cutting through the Salandit group while Eevee beats all three Zubats. Turtonator uses its spikes to send the Yangoose blasting off. Salandit tries to attack with Flame Burst, while Zubat attacks with Leech Life.
"Pikachu, dodge and use Thunderbolt!"
"I'll finish this." Kiawe moves in front of the twins. They watch as he uses a special move to knock out all the gang's Pokemon, causing them to run off.
"Kiawe, what was that?" Ash asks.
"A Z-move." Professor Kukui informs them as he comes over.
"It was so cool!" Anna grins at the boy.
"That's our Kiawe." the smaller boy jokes.
"You were great too, Ash, Anna."
"Thanks, Mallow." Anna smiles at the girl. Eevee jumps into Anna's arms, then climbs onto her shoulder. "You were awesome!" the ten year old tells her partner, gently stroking her ears.

"Who's that Pokemon?" Ash suddenly bursts out with. Anna looks up from her conversation with Mallow, all of them look confused but Ash.
"I don't see anything." Mallow tells him.
"I didn't see anything either." Anna nods in agreement.
"It was just there! It was a Pokemon, for sure!" Ash describes the Pokemon he saw to the group. Everyone seems shocked, but that made Anna more confused.
"That sounds like... Tapu Koko..."
"You saw the Melemele Island guardian?" The blonde haired girl, Lillie, asks.

Later that day, the twins sit with their mother and Mimey in a restaurant.
"Did anything good happen today? You seem distracted this evening." Delia looks at Ash. Anna quietly feeds Eevee part of the meal while Ash just grins at their mother. Before he can tell her anything, they hear a trilling noise and Ash runs off into the forest.
"Where are you going? Pikachu?" Delia yells, watching first her son and then his partner leave.
"Don't worry about it, Mom." Anna tells her mother everything that happened at school.

Ash and Anna stand in front of the TV, talking to their mother. The twins both decided to stay in Alola, although for different reasons. Ash wanted to learn more about Z-Moves and Tapu Koko while Anna wanted to get closer to the others at the Pokemon School and meet more Alolan Pokemon.

"Professor Kukui's house is awesome! You know what? There's a training room in the basement!" Ash tells their mother.
"Yeah! And there's a really cute Pokemon living here! And so many Pokemon that come right up to the house!" Anna adds in.
"That's all great! I love seeing you both having a great time, and Pikachu and Eevee too!" Delia smiles at her children's enthusiasm.
"And thanks, Mom."
"Yeah. Thanks for agreeing to let us both stay."

"Of course. I am your mother, I had a feeling you'd both want to stay. I was right." Delia chuckles.
"Ah!" Ash yells noticing the time.
"We gotta go, Mom! We start at the Pokemon School today!" Anna waves before hanging up.

The twins race from the Professor's house towards the school, with Eevee and Pikachu running slightly ahead of them. Ash pauses to look at the sights of the beach and sea, and Anna races past him.
"Come on, slowpoke! We're already so late!" Anna calls back to him as she runs.
