AUTHORS NOTE: Written for the October 20th Jackfic drabble topic 'write a drabble for Jack's birthday'. I tried to write something happy. Honestly! Can't blame this one on the muse though . . . much as I'd like too. This one was all my doing.
I can't believe they forgot my birthday. Even Sara, though I'm not angry at her. We've been divorced for over five years. This is the first year she hasn't sent a card or at least called. But I forgive her. She's moved on.
My team on the other hand, what's their excuse? I never forget their birthdays.
No cake, ice cream and candles this year.
Unless you count two-year-old Twinkies and a couple of fudge pops.
Ya know what? Screw it. All I need is a couple of Guinness's and ESPN.
It doesn't really matter anyway.
It's just another day.
