I'm in Love with my Best Friend
"Take me home, please." Erestor said as he sat inside his BMW parked outside his art studio. The young painter ran a hand through his jet black hair as he marveled over the conclusion he had come to. It had all started the week before when he had been unable to stop thinking about his roommate and best friend. Erestor could almost hear Fin's voice asking him to calm down, he imagined Glorfindel's almost purple eyes looking at him and he could imagine running his hands through those smooth strands of golden hair.
"Stop it." He told himself and closed his eyes. The driver turned around for a moment to give him a quizzical look and continued to drive.
Erestor had realized that he had hopelessly fallen in love with his best friend, who was most likely to be hopelessly in love with Thranduil. His ex girlfriend and other best friend had told him that they were still dancing around each other. Never before now had Erestor felt more worried about Fin and Thranduil's growing love. Not that he had a problem with Fin being in a relationship, he was just ready to murder anyone who was in a relationship with Fin except for "We are here sir." The driver announced as he stopped the car in front of their penthouse apartments. "Thank you Gavin." Erestor said as he got off the sleek black car. The BMW sped off and Erestor was left standing in the waning sunlight and cool autumn breeze. He ran up the stairs, three at a time not even bothering to use the elevator. He was eager to tell Fin about everything.
If anyone had seen the face he made when he reached the door, they would surely have burst into laughter. Erestor growled at the locked door and the cheerful little note stuck to it. He plucked the offending piece of paper off the door and read the message written in his best friend's neat handwriting. "I've got work to do, will be back late. Don't wait up." Erestor read out loud as he glared at it some more. The dark haired elf crumpled the note and threw it away before he went inside their house.
Erestor decided he would stay up till Fin came back to tell him about his feelings. He settled on the couch with a box of Pringles and a signed copy of the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. He didn't realize how exhausted he was until he felt his eyes drooping, but it was too late as he curled up with his head on a cushion.
"Told not to try to stay up." A voice whispered and Erestor sat up. He knew that his hair was a mess, but he just rubbed his eyes groggily.
His eyes met amused indigo ones and he yawned.
"Fin." He greeted before he hugged the blond elf.
His taller friend slung an arm around his waist while he smoothed down Erestor's hair with his other hand.
"Looks like somebody missed me." Glorfindel mused with a soft smile.
"Its hard to survive without you." Erestor mumbled. Glorfindel raised an eyebrow.
"Whoa, I wasn't expecting you to say that. It's because I can cook isn't it?"He said.
"Probably that's why, because otherwise you're pretty useless. But you're also useful when I need to prove that I'm smart." Erestor said looking up at Fin.
"Hey!I'm offended I don't think I want to hug you anymore." He complained.
"I don't think I want to just hug you either." The dark haired elf said, before he pressed his lips against Glorfindel's.
Glorfindel's eyes widened as Erestor's grip around his neck tightened.
"Wow, that was amazing." He gasped.
"I've been waiting to do that since last week." Erestor whispered.
"I wouldn't mind kissing you again."
