It was there. She could feel it. She didn't know what it was but it was there for sure.

Lurking, hiding, searching for its next victim. Her heart beat raced and she leant forward to see what this devilish creature which lay before her eyes was, she could make out the faint outline of a statue. It was regular and aging but it was stood cowering with its hands covering its face. She turned around abruptly when the door slammed closed.

The cowering statue seemed to be closer; Missy thought nothing of it and checked behind it for the mysterious creature. She turned around and in less than a blink she was in a totally changed environment, they sky was a pale blue, there were ducks surrounding her feet as she looked out into a green lake with cygnets floating gently on the surface. She swung her head around, surveying the land.

She slipped her hands out of her pristine white gloves which she had from the turned around and there were four young ladies and one older woman, who must have been their mother. The older woman shouted out of the carriage they were sat in and said "Lydia please hurry we can't be late for the Meryton ball again this month!" and a voice, Missy guessed was Lydia, replied with "Mother I'm just getting my ribbons!" Missy followed the dark dust path down to the manor, the wind lifted her deep black hair into the sky and Mrs Bennett stopped abruptly as she noticed the girl. "My good lords are you alright over there? Are you a servant?" her tone raised quickly "We have no place for you here if you are looking for work poor girl" she said precipitously.
