The continuation of The Dawn of an Eclipse and bridge to Darkest Before Dawn. The Pure Ones defeated and disbanded, Flint now is a captive to the Northern Kingdoms where he faces only light punishment for his deeds. Mercy, though, is a curious thing, often being easier given than received. After all, self forgiveness is harder to come by than that so freely given to others.
