Tahiri Veila gazed intently at Anakin's lightsaber. The familiar weapon brought back so many memories, playing with him as a child, Anakin rescuing her from the Yuuzhan Vong shapers, their last conversation before his death . . .

Anakin was a hero. He gave up his life so that others could be free. For so long Tahiri had not been able to accept his sacrifice.

She always loved Anakin. When she was a child she had loved him as a friend, then as she grew older she loved him a young woman, and even though he was dead, she would go on loving him her whole life. But, she had moved on; no longer was she drowning in grief. Tahiri had finally managed to bury her hatred of the Yuuzhan Vong.

Anakin's death had made her become closer with the Solos. Jacen once told her that she was part of their family. This was probably true. Leia and Jaina helped so much in helping Tahiri with sharing her body with the Riina, the Yuuzhan Vong personality that was crafted in her. Han was the closest person she had as a father.

Now Tahiri was ready to start a new life. She managed to convince Master Skywalker to let her travel on Zonoma Sekot. The war with the Yuuzhan Vong had ultimately ended in the Galactic Alliance's (a/n or New Republic?) favor . The tattooed warriors agreed to stay on Zonoma while the living planet moved back to the Unknown Regions.

I walk by the shore and I hear
