Chapter 1
The Feud beginning
Hermione, exhausted walked down the corridor to the picture of the fat lady. "Moth feathers" she groaned. She climbed through the hole into Gryffindor tower and collapsed into an arm chair. Slowly she lifted her head and looked around. No one else was there. "Hey there beautiful" a voice said as she felt someone tap her shoulder. She turned around and there was George. Hermione was not happy about this. He had been following her nearly everywhere for the past week, and naturally, she had been desperately trying to escape him. She grimaced in such a strange way it came out more as if she were going to laugh but trying to look afraid. George grinned at this expression and slowly sat down on the arm of the chair. "Hermione, I've, um, been, sorta, um, meaning to, um, talk to you lately" he said hurriedly. Hermione giggled "try it without the um's please". "Hermione, I've been meaning to talk to you lately" he repeated. She stared at him. He continued "Anyway, I was wondering if you might want to, um, go out sometime." "Maybe" she answered. There was an awkward silence that felt like 10 minutes to Hermione, but probably about 100 to George. George reddened ad he backed away slowly, "oh, of course" he gasped "you need some time to think about it". Hermione watched him swerve around a run up the stairs on the right. She slowly stood up and walked up the stairs on the left.
.........
The next morning at breakfast George avoided talking and looking at Hermione. That happened to be alright with her though because suddenly she had become quite taken with Fred. She watched him all through breakfast. His orange hair gleamed against his now tan (from playing quidditch) skin. After he had finished eating she approached him, too aware of George watching her every move. "Er, hello Fred, would you like to go with me to hogsmeade this weekend" she rushed. "Well sure Hermione" he said as he looked her up and down "that would be really great." Hermione smiled as she strode out of the hall.
As soon as Hermione left George ran up to Fred, clearly furious. "What was that!!!!" he shouted. Fred stared at him "Hermione was just asking me to Hogsmeade this weekend" he answered hesitantly. "What do you mean just!!!!!?" Fred raged on "I asked her last night to go with me and she said yes!" George rose his eyebrows at his brother "I highly doubt that she said yes Fred". Fred's eyes bulged out of his head at this, "you'll pay George, just you wait!!!!!"
