Love on Queerditch Marsh The Beginning

Gabby walked up and down Platform 9 ¾ wearing her Hogwarts robes. She was trying to decide where to sit. Her mother and father had walked her here and then had to go. They were both important member of the Ministry. She sighed. She wished she knew someone already. If only her parents had been able to see her off. If only she wasn't an only child. Who would she sit with? Would anyone want to sit with her? What if-

The train whistle cut off her thoughts. Gabby yelped and scurried over to a door onto the Hogwarts Express. She ran in the open door and looked into the compartments. All were full, except the last one. Two twin boys with ginger hair and a ton of freckles were sitting in it. She did a stress pull through her long, brown hair and walked up to the door.

"Excuse me," she said. The two boys looked at her at the exact same time. "Do you mind if I sit here? Everywhere else is full." (A/N: I know everyone uses that phrase, but it sounds cool!)

The twin to the left smiled at her. "Of course." She smiled her thanks and went to sit on the other side.

"I'm Gabby," she informed them. "Gabrielle LaFife."

"I'm George Weasley," said the twin who'd spoken to her.

"And I'm Fred Weasley," said the other.

She grinned. "Er, are either of you into Quidditch?" she asked, eager to see if anyone loved it as much as she did herself.

Fred and George nodded ecstatically. "Yeah!" exclaimed George. "We wanna be the beaters!" He swung an imaginary club used by the beaters.

Gabby replied, "How spiffy! (A/N: Jessica- spiffy is a corky word!) I want to be a Chaser! I've been practicing ever since I was two, which was when I could first fly."

Fred and George looked impressed. They were caught in the middle of a very enjoyable conversation about Quidditch when the compartment door slid open. An elderly witch looked in on them.

"Anything off the cart, dears?" she asked. Her cart was filled with all sorts of wizard candy.

Fred and George shook their heads and pulled out sandwiches. "We're good," Fred told her. The twins exchanged a look with each other before looking back down.

Gabby watched the two of them and pulled out her money. She got up and went to buy a bit of everything. When she returned, she deposited her candy in the seat next to her and turned to the twins.

"I'll be glad to share with you. Those sandwiches look awful dry," she told them.

The twins looked up, again at the same time. "Are you serious?" Fred exclaimed.

Gabby nodded. The trio began to slowly go through Gabby's candy, admiring the Famous Witches and Wizards cards, trying the Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, and munching on Pumpkin Pasties. When they figured they had to be almost there, Gabby stepped out into the corridor so the twins could change.

As the train slowed to a stop, they got more and more excited. To let off some of it, Fred showed Gabby the bag of tricks he'd brought and told her how he was going to use them. Gabby told them about all the tricks she'd played of her Aunt Mae when they had family reunions.

It was finally time to get off the train. The three stepped off and saw a huge figure calling, "Firs' years this way! C'mon, don' be scairt!"

A/N: Review! Please! Pretty please? Pretty please with ice cream and cherries and whipped cream and chocolatey goodness?
