Title: Dear Filius
Rating: No worse for you than Mary Poppins, and maybe better as I always felt that movie should have ended with Mary and Bert getting together. What the heck is "Goodbye, Mary Poppins, don't stay away too long." supposed to mean? KISS HER YOU FOOL!

Dear Filius,

Happy Valentine's Day.

I know most think it is a silly holiday, but one of the things I love about you is how excited you get when planning events and decorations for events such as the upcoming ball.

I wished to ask you to attend the Valentine's Day ball with me, but I can never work up the nerve to invite you. Instead, I leave the matter in your capable hands.

If there is anyone you are interested in, please ask her to the ball. Even if it is not me, I wish that you could be happy with someone. You are such a wonderful man, Fil. You should share that with someone else who deserves you. As long as you are happy, I will endeavor to be likewise.

Yours always,
Me

A smudge of dirt by the closing and a single petal, which must have become trapped in her hair or robes while working, only to fall into his letter, were more than enough clues to point to the identity of his admirer.

Filius smiled as he knocked on her door, chocolates in hand as it would have been ridiculous to bring flowers to such a witch.
