The Hunger Games are still going on even though Snow is dead. The only difference now is that Peeta and Katniss are supporting it instead of stopping it. The games are now only for Capitol children but what if some of the district kids get tired of the games? They rebel!

I do not own anything that is in Hunger Games except for my characters!

Prologue

The reaping is finally here and some people from every district are gathered in the Capitol to see who is picked. My friends and I wait by the stairs to see what is happening but overall we don't really care about what happens. Finally after about 10 minutes of waiting Effie Trinket comes onto the stage.

"Welcome to the 84th annual Hunger Games. We will be calling out 24 capitol kids to participate in this year's games. We will start with the girls!"

Personally I don't know how she could be excited. Every year kids are killing each other off just to survive. I thought this was all going to end years ago after Katniss killed President Snow and won the rebellion but of course it couldn't be that easy.

Anyway the girls started to be picked almost instantly after and the sick part of the whole process was that you could see the revenge on Effie's face and it wasn't pretty.

"Annie Johnston, Angelina Roberts, Willow Green, Rose Marsh…." and the list continued to go on until 12 girls were picked. This year was one of the worst reaping's ever. You could tell because half of the girls were 11 or 12 and had practically no chance to survive.

The boys were next and the same thing happened except this time you could hear the screams of the family's coming from the crowd. The sons were the only providers a family had besides the father and without them the family was pretty much destroyed.

It was then that I knew that I had had enough. These games were supposed to end years ago but of course they didn't because Katniss needed to have revenge for her little sister, Primrose's death.

All of a sudden Effie said "Are there any volunteers?"

No one expected anyone to say anything because no one from the capitol would volunteer and the districts hated the capitol so much that they didn't care about the kids.

I looked up at the tributes and saw the tears streaming down some of there faces. That was when I gathered my courage and yelled out the two words that I knew I would never regret….

"I VOLUNTEER"
