"Bye Kate, I'll miss you!" A young pup named Humphrey said to his beloved friend.
"I'll miss you too!" Young pup Kate replied as she walked off to Alpha school.
Humphrey's face turned from happy to sad as she walked off. He would miss her so much. He loved her so much even though they were just pups. But he promised himself that when she came back he would tell her his true feelings, even though Alpha's and Omega's cannot be mates. He sighed and walked back to his den thinking about Kate, and what to say to her when she came back.

Humphrey stayed in his den most of the time. He only went out to eat and go to the bathroom, he wouldn't even talk to his friends. He just kept thinking about Kate...

March
Humphrey started coming out of his den a lot more and hanging out with his friends. Kate would be back in April. But something happened in the middle of March...
Winston and Eve came back early with the students of Alpha School with very sad faces, but Kate wasn't with them. Humphey came up Winston.
"Where's Kate?" Humphrey asked.
Winston turned to him.
"Kate is gone." Winston replied sadly.
Humphrey didn't think it was true, so many questions were flying around in his head. What happened? She'll be back right? Many more too. All he could think to do was go to the edge of the border and wait for her...
Winston POV
I couldn't believe it. My daughter had died in a hunting accident, at Alpha School. Eve and I returned to our den to tell Lily what happened. As soon as we told her, she bursted into tears. Soon Eve and I did too, so depressed from the loss of our daughter. The only other thing I could think about was Humphrey. I felt very bad for him. I knew he loved Kate, and the news I told him must of broken his heart...
Back to Humphrey...
Humphrey arrived at the edge of the border and sat on a boulder, big enough for him to lay down on too...
Humphrey stayed their for days. His friends tried to talk him out of it and to forget Kate, but Humphrey ignored them...
Weeks passed and Humphrey was still there. Some wolves felt bad for him and brought him scraps of food once a week, he was very thin.
Months have now passed and Humphrey now won't talk to anyone and just stares at thin air waiting for Kate to come back...
Nine Years Later...
Still the same, Humphrey was very unhealthy and still waiting for Kate. He is A lot older...
One year later Humphrey is still waiting for Kate to come. Finally he layed down, with his head on his front paws and fell into a deep sleep...
In Humphreys dream he see's Kate and him playing with pups which seemed to be their own...
Humphrey woke up from the dream to see a beautiful Kate standing in front of him, he smiled.
"What took you so long?" Humphrey asked playfully.
"No, what took you so long?" Kate asked while giggling.
Humphrey stood up, and then they both started walking.
"Kate I need to tell you something..." Humphrey said while they both walked to heaven.
Lily POV
I walked to the border to find Humphrey, dead. I knew this would happen soon, since he just sat here all these years. I hugged his cold dead body. He would of been the one and only wolf for Kate. Humphrey was the most loyal wolf I ever knew...
