This is the third Chapter to my story, igoodbye. It's really a bit of a fluff, and not anything to dramatic, but it gives us a little bit of back ground information about Carly and her family. You don't have to read igoodbye and alone before you read
this, but I recommend you do so. Thanks for all the wonderful support I am getting on my stories. You guys are a wonderful audience.
Disclaimer: Oh how I wish I did...But I don't own icarly
Thanks for reading, and remember to review! Constructive criticism as well please, it helps make me a better writer :)
Carly could remember when her mother died.
She was six as the time, and Spencer was around eighteen. Though she was young, she could still remember everything. It was before her father joined the Navy , and long before icarly was born. They hadn't lived in the loft then, Carly and her family had lived in a house, in the suburbs of Seattle. Carly had just started school, and was becoming popular. Spencer was still weighing up his options in life, and where he hoped to be in the next few years. Carly's father, Steven, worked in Seattle. They were a happy family.
Sometimes, when Carly is sitting on the couch in their loft, and she has nothing to do, she thinks back to her mother. Pushing her brown hair out of her eyes, Carly remembers everything about her. The way she walked, the way she talked, the way she smelt, everything about her. Sometimes…it gets all too much for Carly, and she begins to cry.
It was a Tuesday and Carly was at school. Spencer was out with friends, looking over brochures for college. Steven was at work.
Carly's mother, better known as Maria, had jobs to do. After she cleaned the house and spent half an hour talking to relatives in Texas, Maria decided she needed to run to the bank and with draw some money. Steven's birthday would be coming up soon, and she wanted to buy her husband something special. Their marriage hadn't been all that easy lately, so she wanted to cheer him up.
Jumping in her car, Maria made her way to the bank, where she was promptly shot in the back while withdrawing money. The man, who shot her, then clicked in a new magazine of bullets, and robbed the bank. Maria, along with six other people, died that day.
Carly can still remember sitting in class, chewing on the end of her pencil, and Spencer emerging from the doorway, red eyed and panting. Even being so young, Carly knew something had happened…
After that, there was nothing really to tell. Her mother's killer was caught, and he was sentenced to life in jail…though that was no punishment for taking away a small child's mother. Carly, Spencer and Steven attended her funeral, along with hundreds of other friends of Maria. Carly screamed when her mother was lowered into the ground.
After that, Spencer attempted to go to Law school, but realizing that there was no future for him as a Lawyer, he moved back home to look after his little sister. Steven had already left. So torn up about his wife's death, he joined the Navy and left his family. Though he often returned in following years, the visits became less and less frequent.
Spencer moved Carly and himself into a loft in the middle of Seattle, to distract her. But Carly was forever damaged. Over time, her wounds sealed over, but they never properly healed.
So Carly couldn't bear to think of Sam and Freddie dead…because this time…her wounds could not be healed…this time
Their deaths, would mean the end.
Thanks for reading, sorry it's so short!
