"I promise to love you every day, for all of my days. You have made me a better man. When we first met, I was shy and so very unsure. But you've made me into the confident man that stands before you, with his heart in his hands asking you to take it forever. When I'm with you, the world doesn't seem such a scary place, all the monsters outside, stay outside. You're my first thought in the morning and the reason that I smile every night before I go to sleep. So with this ring, I Spencer Reid, take you Sarah Smith to be my lawful wedded wife. Till death do us part."

All the way through the ceremony, Spencer could keep the tears that blurred his vision, inside. Once Sarah started her vows, he came undone and wept like a child.

"I promise to always help you love life, to talk when needed and to learn to shut my mouth when words aren't necessary. I give you my vow, to always hold your hand in public and make you do things that you're terrified of, because I know it will benefit you in the end. You are the bravest person I have ever had the honour of knowing and I love you with every beat of heart. So with this ring, I Sarah Smith, take you Spencer Reid to be my lawful wedded husband. Till death do us part."

There wasn't a dry eye in the whole church by the time the service was over. Everyone clapped and sang for the happy couple. Most of all was Derek Morgan. He had introduced them after all. Sarah was a friend of his sisters, who was everything Dr Spencer Reid was not. She was small, ever so slightly chubby with a great laugh that could wake the dead. They didn't like each other at first, she thought he was pretentious and he didn't like her because she was loud, she pushed his boundaries and his patience.

The day that changed that was when he came face to face with the first girl who had ever turned him down. He was crushed the day that she said "no" to his offer of dinner. This time around she was all over him and he was the one having none of it but he just didn't know how to get out of the situation. When along came Sarah. She took him by the hand, gave him a small kiss on the lips and that was it. Ever since that day in July, it has been building up to this and neither of them could wait to start their lives together.

Morgan and Reid made eye contact across the church and Morgan mouthed to Reid, three simple words which made Spencer laugh until he was sore "I was right."
